Ideas for New Maps

First let me say that I have no problem with the PvP system, this is just to post some ideas for additional maps and environments that could further enhance people's PvP experience. Feel free to post additional map ideas if you can think of any :)

Here are my ideas:

Space
-Star's Corona
The map takes place very near the edge of the Corona of a star (with the star in the middle). Should you get too close to the corona then you start to take a small amount of shield damage due to the radiation and if your shields go down (or just a facing) then your hull gets a radiation DoT and you start losing crew to the radiation.

If you hit the star itself, you die instantly.

-Black Hole
The map takes place just outside the accretion disk of a Black Hole (for argument sake, say it's in the middle of the map). At all times your ship is being gently pulled towards the Black Hole itself (a similar effect as the ability Gravity Well but without the kinetic damage).

Should you enter the accretion disk then you have the chance for one of your sub-systems to go offline at random for a few seconds (slowing down time wouldn't be practical in the game). Should you hit the Black Hole itself, you die instantly.

-Nebula
The entire match takes place inside a nebula. Your sensors detection range is drastically reduced (to 8-10 km), but you would still be able to actually see (poorly) beyond that range, just unable to get a lock. Cloaking would not function inside the nebula, and all ships would take a debuff to their hit %.

-Gas Giant
Takes place around a Gas Giant (obviously :p). Should you enter the atmosphere then your ship starts to take a small amount of kinetic damage. Sensor detection range would be drastically reduced as well and ships outside the atmosphere would have serious trouble tracking those inside it.

The deeper that you get into the atmosphere, the worse the kinetic damage gets until you get to deep and the pressure kills you.

-Void
The entire map is completely black with no stars. The map is not for the hazards, but more the feel of being in a void.

Ground
-Shuttle Pad (King of the Hill)
Takes place on a large planetary Shuttle Pad where the players have to capture and keep control points that are various resources to the shuttle (such as deuterium fuel, or anti-matter storage pods).

The Encampment
Takes place in a small army encampment planet-side in the middle of a fierce storm (complete with lightning and thunder).


Anyway, those are my thoughts, what do yall think? Do yall have ideas of your own?
