I find it kinda odd looking when cannon blasterbolts start chasing the current target, especially after he hits evasive manuevers or ramming speed. Are those guided missiles by chance? Lol, it's a cammon problem in MMO games calculating non-lightspeed weapon fire.
If a target manages to get away from my shots by smart maneuvering or just accelarating the bolts shouldn't chase him. After firing the target has a small chance to escape the volley if the shots keep travelling the original path. Escort pilots need to get much closer in order to score some good hits. Right now it's a 8k approach, activating all buffs and when i reach 1 or 2k the target is already down.
I am tac/escort spec'ed myself but i hate how easy it is to destroy somone when his "mighty" cruiser is out of RSP or similar buffs. In pvp i killed a guy who managed to hit evasive maneuvers just in time, but my gun rounds made a 90° turn and hit him 10 k away and killed him eventually. Hm, nice or maybe not so nice?
People would reconsider using more beam weapons again (longer fights/less dps) or become close range specialists.
Your opinion?
