I am Shiver L Bathory esq. I would totally like it if our bodacious devs could actually make people's eyes blink and when they are most heinously dead for their eyes to close. It would make immersion most triumphant.
May I ask why you don't want closed eye's on death or when knocked out? I find it slightly freaky looking at dead officers staring back at me with their cold dead eyes...
Mostly because I rarely get close enough to dead people to look at their eyes. Also, I'm reasonably sure that dying with your eyes open happens pretty often. In movies, you always get the touching scene where someone kneels over a fallen friend and closes their eyes for them and all that.
Mostly, it just isn't a big deal to me. It's one of those changes that could probably help immersion, but just barely so it rates so low on the To Do list that it will probably never actually come about.
thats exactly what my Fleet members were saying on vent, it does indeed happen sometimes but not every time. It's only a very small touch and yes of course there are a million and one things I would rather see added sooner and a very good point you don't often hand around and look at bodies (do you? =P), but there are odd missions (Azura) where there are people who are meant to be unconscious but lying on the floor eyes wide open which doesn't happen at least as far as I know..I haven't had many experiences in this field.
Just figure its a tiny little addition that I hope could be easily implemented sometime. I just get the impression no one in the 25th Century has any eyelids!

Happens all the time in real life too, usually depends on if they are asleep when they die or decide to close their eyes on their own. People that die unexpectedly rarely close their eyes and I expect that in combat it would happen much less frequently since closing your eyes whilst aiming a weapon is counterproductive.
Totally agree with you Zero, on a side not CCP and Nvidia have released a tech video for clothing worth taking a look on youtube at, though i'm told its been rendered (meaningless to me), I just don't want this little touch to slip out of the net. Cryptic have done a really good job in this game on all the little touches. I creamed when I saw my team mate actually beam into my mission instance and not just grey in, in typical spawn in style.

Also, while we're on the subject of BIll and Ted, I totally, like, want an air guitar emote. It would be most non heinous.

You'll just have to take my word that, that really wouldnt bother me
perfect defense against the crying Angels... oh wait that's Dr. Who!
No realy i would rather have Cloth & Hair Physics or spinning Asteroids in Space or something like that before i would think about blinking.
several reason
A not yet bored enough to be noticing whether unconscious / dead people have open closed or missing eyelids
B not willing to stay quiet while Devs spend time on said eyelids while ignoring oh i dunno .. cooler stuff
C Bill and ted still rock to this day and Air guitar would be awesome . especially if your BOFFS did it too ala the two guys from army of two
