Once The Galaxy Class Is Finished, The Nebula Class Should Be Easy..

I Think (Provided Approval From CBS Of Course) The Nebula Should Be A T4 with A T5 Variant, Like The Galaxy, Intrepid, And Defiant Are Going To Have. In MY Opinion, Ships Like Excelsior, Oberth, Ambassador, Nebula Etc Should Be "Stand-Alone" Like TOS Constitution, By That I Mean They Shouldn't Be Classified In A Certain Tier, Example: TOS Constitution Is Like A T1, But Has The Slots Of A T2 And Has Its Own Customizable Features..(Granted There Are None..). This Would Work Perfect For The Excelsior Class, In Order To Have The Original AND The Refit As A T2 With T3 Slots Or T3 With T4 Slots, WITHOUT Messing With The Current 4 Nacelle T3 Cruiser.

Now To The Nebula: http://drexfiles.files.wordpress.com/2009/06/nebula_top.jpg

The Way I See It, Once The Galaxy Class Is Complete, You Basically Have The Saucer Section For The Nebula Class Right There, So Lets Give The Ship Team Some Ideas, Just In Case They Are Or Intend To Start Working On It. ...Like They Should..

These 3 Designs AND Modules Should Be Used: http://www.trekmania.net/art/nebvariants.jpg

IF That Link Doesn't Work, Try This And Click On The Picture: http://www.trekmania.net/art/nebula_class.htm Science, Tactical, And Exploration.(NOTE: Ships In Picture Are Not In That Order)

I Also Think The Nebula Should Have Universal Slots, Just Like A Bird Of Prey.

Please Add Your Ideas To This And Maybe A Dev Could Respond And Give Us All A Hint If We'll See Certain Ship Classes Soon

It'd be less of an eyesore than the Galaxy X (and might even fit as a modular part).

I have a feeling that when the Nebula is added the extra mission pods will only be cosmetic in the same fashion that one can select from different nacelles, hulls, saucers, etc. The reason being that other ships won't have this level of configuration and adding a new ship class that has a modular system with in-game effects will simply cause the same uproar that the Galaxy X has caused. Players will complain about it being 'game changing' or 'game breaking' and that it gives an unfair advantage or something to that effect or that it means the Nebula fits into all three subsets of ships.

NO NO NO NO NO NO NO

    And NO

This is never going to happen because the developers (and probably CBS as well) want to see players in a diverse collection of ships. Put ANYTHING in with universal bridge officer stations, and you'll see about 75% of players flying just that/those ships. I don't know about you, but I don't want to see Nebula class starships making up the bulk of the Federation's fleet.

Only... that class is actually what makes up a majority of the Federation fleet. If I remember correctly Starfleet is made up primarly of the Nebula class, the Miranda Class, and the Excelsior Class startships. Those are the big three that show up the most.

Dont get me started about the Nebula.....

I hate CBS, but if they are responsible, gives me more reason.

...putting Oberth, Excelsior and Nebula Classes in STO should be a no brainer.

I believe the issue with Nebula is that it's parts are not interchangeable with any existing ship. Rather then being a simple ship skin the Nebula would need to be its own Class-type with two sub-types to inter-change parts with - and it would probably sit in the T3 Heavy Cruiser section. I'd put it at T3 as it's a utility ship, not as powerful as the Galaxy. Making such a ship is doable but slightly problematic: Heavy Cruiser would end up being the only non-Admiral ship type to give 2 distinct choices.

Holy TRIBBLE, OP. Why Are You Capitalizing The First Letter Of Every Word?

I couldn't read your post.. it was too hard on my eyes.

However, I agree - we need the Nebula-class in the game.

Those Were Definitely The Ships Most Often Seen Docking At Deep Space Nine In The Show, If I Recall Correctly.
