Error decompressing data when attempting to launch demo.

I really want to move on from WOW and find a new mmorpg... I LOVE the Star Trek story line, but what I've had to go through to even try the demo is ridiculous. It took over 24 hours to download, 3 hours to download patches, and now every time I try to launch, it says "error decompressing data" and crashes. No matter how many times the launcher verifies files and downloads the needed ones, I continue to get this error. I've submitted a help ticket and have gotten no response. Anyone have a solution? Thank you.

After two attempts at creating a ticket I finally got this message in return... Thank you very much and I hope this helps others that may have the same issue:

Please delete the "piggs/hogs/bin/" file identified by the error which will be located in the \Live\piggs directory. The directory will be located here: On Windows XP/Vista/Win7 32bit the default install folder is "C:\Program Files\Cryptic Studios\Star Trek Online\Live\piggs" On Windows XP/Vista/Win7 64bit the default install folder is "C:\Program Files (x86)\Cryptic Studios\Star Trek Online\Live\piggs" Select "Force Verify" after clicking on the "Options" menu on the game login screen and login into the game normally. Once the game has completed verifying and re-patching the missing game files you should no longer receive that error.

if you are using vista or win7 you may contiune to have problems with the game if you install it in the program files directory. It should be installed in the default /user directory or in some other directory.
    Quote from coderanger....

Fun fact, the game will break pretty frequently if you install to Program Files under Vista or Win7 because of a new security feature called Virtual Store (short version: it intercepts and rewrites file writes inside prog files to go somewhere else). That is why it is no longer the default install location on those platforms. There is no permanent way to disable this feature of Windows, so installing outside of Program Files is the best option. The "correct" place according to MS for this would be C:\ProgramData, but more games use Users\Public\Games that we wanted to go with the clearer one. The More You Know.

I installed the demo on my windows vista 32. It installed to users\public\games\Cryptic Studios. After a long patch update the game ran without a hitch. Hope this helps someone....
