Well, at least you have something to ...chat about. But its nice to see some habbits never change Azurian. Your famous song of escorts are overpowered, cruisers are weak..is evergreen on this forums since the launch of this game.
Cruisers just take alot more skill to play well, compared to escorts. I must say that i have seen only handful of good cruiser pilots, which truly knew how to use all the toys available to them.
Actually it is the contrary which is why I find it funny. I see more science ships than anything else BY FAR in PVP, and I do A LOT of PVP. Heck I don't even do PVE. I will admit second to science ships is escorts and escorts are growing but what you do not realize is that its all science/escorts, the tac/escorts pop is diminishing rapidly. SNB is so game-breaking it is the only obvious cause, which has nothing to do with the ship type. It is the same as a Sci/BoP. Science are the only one's able to hop into a different ship and completely out-perform anyone else in that chair by an extreme amount.
So what was it before Escorts?
Because I've always seen escorts in PvP, even before 1.1.
This strikes me as a self-fullfilling whine-ery and nothing more.

Like I said, what they are observing is the zerg like move that all the old sci players and the big movement of newly created sci players from sci vessels into escorts. This is because, just like a sci/BoP, with the new SNB changes, a sci/escort can outperform any class and ship combo in game by exponential amounts, and in all departments.
I honestly don't think this game can be balanced any more. That and Cryptic is going to be making a 3rd MMO.. and drop the most Lucrative IP that they could have ever put their greasy hands on into the forgotten lands of CO and make "Baking Online" or some garbage that nobody will buy.

Looks like someone rolled a sci officer when the game came out and got rolled alot then switched to the class that was rolling him,made multiple versions of said class and then got rolled by his first choice and now wants that class to be nerfed into oblivion so he doesnt have to remake another character.

With the current state, it seems most necessary that SNB should be fixed first, Some more of the underpowered sci and eng BoFF skills should be buffed, along with underpowered eng captain skills, than escorts should be tweaked which can kill 2 birds with one stone by nerfing everyones crit severity and accuracy. Which would not only lower the insane damage it would also help make defense more viable.
Sorry friend SNB was already fixed you're gonna have to find another way to get around its inconvience.

It is as easy or hard to counter a SNB as it is to defend against a pre buffed tactical escort.
I have both a tactical and a science captain and I play them evenly. The science captain is a threat once every 2 minutes in the tactical escort I can often kill players before they can even react just by stacking apa, apo and timing the HY3 torpedo and the beam overload correctly...this brings me back to topic:
The burst damage of escorts is just to high right now. If I can instantly pop a cruiser something is wrong...and I think all tactical captains have seen those beam overload and torpedo crits that oneshot anything.
The problem just certainly is not a once in 2 minutes science skill like SNB.

No i didnt confirm it. I just said mastering cruiser is alot harder, but the potential is somewhat same.
If i kill cruiser with mines (i admit with the help of TSS) does that mean mines are overpowered ? or does that mean that my escort is overpowered ? or does that mean that TSS is overpowered ? or does that mean that the cruiser pilot did poor job on raising his shields ?

Well indeed that is strategy, but some combos can be overpowering. Like how everyone is talking about how TSS is overpowered with the stacking. But unlike SNB, TSS can't be fixed with Teams.
But now, everyone who sucked in PvP in Science Ships and Cruisers now moved to Escorts so they can get easy kills in PvP. Which alone is a statement that Escorts are the ships to PvP in, thus making it harder for Cruisers and Science Ships to actually have a chance. Hense this thread.

Just because you have a problem with persistence, or have a problem fighting for what you believe in, does not mean it is my own. Sounds to me more like you have the same deep underlying personal problems my fan-club has.
Just from the attitude and clear lack of knowledge in your post, I'm gonna have to say you only play science captain at RA.
SNB is 2 minutes, however that can be buffed down.
Also it is 10x more powerful than all captain abilities put together, has no counter, and is the only buff strip in game.
2 minutes, that can be buffed down is NOTHING compared when you have 1000x weaker abilities on cooldowns close to and above 10 minutes. RSP is on 3 minutes which is the main ignorant argument SNB supporters use, which by the way already had perfectly available counters before the SNB change.
How about we reduce Miracle Workers cooldown to 15 seconds. I bet you, as a science only captain, be boasting nerfs/fixes for it too. How about lets make Fire on My Mark cause all damage to ignore shields, I bet you'd be boasting changes/fixes too.

Even in escorts they will still suck. Good player is good in all shops, bad player bad in all also. Yesterday i went to T5 salvage operations in T3 escort...and guess how many people died under to my canonically fitted akira and its photon torpedo spam And my overall score was somewhere in the middle.
Dude, he will scramble sensors AND tractor beam AND photonic shockwave you all at once!

As for me, being engineer in a cruiser I kind of figured myself to be a healer and a tank. Well, I don't feel much like a tank these days. Even with all the shield buffs available to me activated an escort will just TRIBBLE through me in 3 salvos. I can't tell from my personal experience about a global scale of balance, but seeing many players complain about this, I feel it's a problem.
Considering that escorts were recognized as being the easiest vessel to play due to thier DPS ratio even in CB, I'm not surprised that more and more are in PvP. It is always fun to be the big gun, everybody enjoys an earth-shattering kaboom. A good Cruiser or science vessel will always be just as much as a contender though due to the plethora of abilites they have at thier disposal.

Honestly I do see a TON more escort ships in FvF. But, here's the kicker. They may fly an escort, they may know how to DPS, but a good number of them aren't capable of working as a team. They've seen the Defiant in the DS9 battle episodes and think "YEAH I'M THE STAR!!!!" No cupcake, now learn some basic team tactics.
One can play a FoTM class/ship, one can have LEET individual skills, but I'd rather be in a team with cruisers / sci vessels and a few escorts than an all escort group with "i'm-so-leet" players.
A good Cruiser or science vessel will always be just as much as a contender though due to the plethora of abilites they have at thier disposal.
Not sure about Cruisers, but the Commander Level abilties we have as Science Officers seem very lack luster when compared to the pre-patch VM III or FBP III.
Tykens Rift looks fantastic, but a power drain that lasts 2 seconds isn't very useful, even when backed up by Energy Siphon III and TSS II. Trust me I've tried in my Recon.
I can count on one hand how many times I've seen Gravity Well or Photonic Shockwave in PVP. Photonic Officer III isn't in the game. Doesn't leave alot to work with.
Maybe I'm just in the wrong PVP matches since I PuG alot. I would like to go back to my Recon, but at the moment, I am much happier in an Escort. Now, this isn't to say I haven't seen some Sci/Sci players who are doing very well in PVP, but they are always in pre-made groups who are supported by 2+ cruisers in case they are focus-fired and are cross supporting the cruisers.
The problem is, Escorts have such firepower that most of the time, I get hit with Jam Sensor, by the time I realize I've been Jam'd, I go "Poof" no time to hit any defences or buffs, just "Poof", so I guess it's a matter of "If you can't beat them, join them".

Where F= Fixed
O=Overpowered
B=Broken and G= Game-breaking
