My dream uniform is the AGT combadges, the dress uniforms from Insurrection in dark red with WoK division colors for the undershirts and WoK pants. It would go for the quasi-Napoleonic/nautical dress uniform flavor of the Meyers films while taking in the TNG sensibilities.
Sure there is the quantum realities, but they are more like just that, other realities.
The timelines however are wiped out of existance from changes, even if those events may happen in other realities. http://memory-alpha.org/wiki/Quantum_reality
Thing is though, when you look at the sheer number of 'costume' choices in Champions Online, STO seems a little light, and bland (yes I do know the meaning of the word uniform).
It's true, they probably want a time release of goodies, but I've a hankering for something new already. I really don't like the game specific uniforms at all, so I'm pretty much stuck in TOS, even with my ship upgraded to something a little more modern
Because Skin tight leather chaps err...I mean reinforced pants, and leather jackets are smexy!!
No they're really not lol. And one of the best things I did a search for on the forums was how to turn the armour off so my team didn't look like Power Rangers STO

I agree they really are not.
As for armor I was thinking it looked more like it came from ME.
I love the fact that these uniforms look like they were issued to the officers when they all weighed 350lbs, then star-fleet issued that memorandum forcing all of their folks to come in at no more than 170lbd...
the ensuing laugh riots as people began swimming down the corridors in their clothes became historic that year...
But they were both alternate timelines that never happened.
Not neccesarily so. Despite the events after "All Good Things" we see that in Voyager's future the uniforms are still designed and worn.
Even with limited knowledge of the future in Picard's mind, or Voyager returning home early, it is highly ulnlikely that this made it so the uniforms would be different in the future.

But, in Picard's future, Romulus was not removed from existence. And in Voyager future technology was brought back. Perhaps the uniform designers at Starfleet saw the future uniforms and decided they didn't look good.

I like the design concept for these uniforms, but every episode that showed them they look really poorly made. I think Janeway's was the only one that looked like it fit.
Video games would probably be less susceptible to rushed costume designers trying to work with uncooperative fabrics.
Personally, I think the AGT/Endgame alternate future uniforms look like something that would be worn by Starfleet's food service division. Sorry, they'd be perfect for waiters, but IMO, are ridiculous on personel waring them outside the restaurant business.

Which is an alternate future - one of several.

How so? When one consideres that BOTH futures are changed/will not occur (in the "prime" [and other] timelines) due to certain events, plus that Voyager episode that showed future captain Geordi LaForge of the Challenger in a TNG movie-era uniform (pic shown in this thread,) what evidence do you have which makes it "highly ulnlikely" for them to be "different in the future?" -
This is a different universe as created by Cryptic Studios, though, so things might be completely different. I certainly don't mind them being made available, the more the merrier and if people want them then that's cool with me. I don't know if I'd use them, personally, but I won't deny someone else if they want to.

uniforms are ugly!
2373 uniforms are by far my favourite.
Very good point.
Cryptic, why aren't we wearing these uniforms?
I'm all for new uniform options [on both sides!]
While we're at it, can we please get sashes for Federation Klings [a la Worf]?
Totally.
And sashes for Fed Klingons.
As Alexraptor pointed out, they are alternate timeline uniforms, lol. But I am not against more uniform varieties!

Is it safe to say ALTERNATE timelines NEVER happen??? I thought they just split off.

So some stuff has happened.
Since starfleet uniform regulations are now very very very wide open ...
I'm all for these uniforms coming out. And for TMP unis.
I understand it may take awhile. They need to have something fun to offer next year or the year after. Can't give out all the goodies right now.

But these uniforms would be awesome too, and they have an admiral variant.
/oppose them being worn
I think they are generally ugly. But if you like them, I'll support you.

As did DS9 in the episode "The Visitor."
