I tryed the welcome back weekend and sorry to say I wish I hadn't. Lots of bugs still, lots of crashes and client freezing. I played in open beta etc played for 30days then cancel sub pretty much because its obvious cryptic are after cash, not a good game. I see nothing much has changed except loads more things to buy in the cryptic store! what a shocka.
Money making gimics are not going to save this game, its a shame could of been great, sucky copied game engine, cookie cutter missions, lack of content, not a proper mmo, linear single player feal, nothing like star trek, rubbish pvp system, bugged missions, all the same issues from before and none of them fixed. The list of things is so long I don't care enough to waste time listing all of them. All reports sent back in beta and first 30 days so cryptic don't listen.
Cryptic you should stop making games, I will not be trying or buying anymore of your products, I will be advising others to do the same. Im guessing your player base numbers have plumeted, since I see hardly anyone else in game at all, hence the increase in money grabbing gimics and free weekends, I give STO 6 months or less until it backflips into a blackhole.
Very disapointed.
Im sure this will get deleted as most other posts do iv heard whenever someone disagree's with the almighty cryptic.

Sorry you feel that way. I understand that it is your opinion but I have to say that I feel you are mistaken in your analysis of the game. Especially considering part of the opening comments dealt with client freezing etc. That could very well be your machines issue, as there hasn't been very many complaints of those issues lately. As far as the bugs, all games have those.
As far as the rest you are entitled to your opinion. However, I am pretty sure it won't backflip into a blackhole as you say.

Could you care to elaborate on what hasn't been fixed?
You might try looking at the release notes section. Even a cursory glance of, say, the March 24 Release Notes, would reveal hundreds of bugfixes.
It's a shame your complaints weren't addressed as all the bug reports I had during OB were addressed during the first month after launch.
I'll grant you the linearity (hence why none of my alts are passed Lt.Cmdr.). However, I'm not sure what you mean by not a proper MMO. The instancing bothered you? Or was it the <=50 caps on those instances?
Some elaboration would help to get "things" fixed.

Yeah course everyone entitled to there own view. Main thing im annoyed about is there business ethics and obvious cheap money making gimics, its amazing what people will fall for with a star trek sticker slapped on it.
As for the crashes and client freezes no other games I play have a problem, it was happening all the time in the first monthto alot of players, seems to happen less but once or twice a day crashing is very bad for any professional MMO but I would never put STO under such a title. More like overpriced single player 80's arcade game.

Again, I would have to suggest it is your machine or connection. I personally haven't had a crash in months, save when my internet went down. I know others who haven't had any crashing issue either.

Its not my machine, no matter how much you wish it to be. :P It's called a badly not even built but copied unstable game engine.
See, the point I am trying to make is, that if you are going to bash a game, it is usually helpful to be accurate in your descriptions.
If you are having crashing issue, and others aren't then the problem may not be the game. Hence saying it is the game is not accurate.
I would say, saying its the same crashing that occured back in beta, in 30 days and that it only happens in STO and only the STO program crashes, id say thats pretty dam accurate that its STO mr fanboi.
Not to start an argument, but I've never experienced lag, crashes or freezes since playing this game from release. I hate to support what's been said (you are vehmently opposed to the idea it seems) but I think it is either your machine or your connection.
At least you gave it a try and tried it for the weekend or whenever.

How is me pointing out to you that you should be more accurate make me a fanboi?
I can now see, that all you are doing is make this thread as a flame thread and not attempting to provide constructive criticism. Since that seems to be the case, It would seem to me is that all you have done is shot your credibility in the foot and have shown you are just engaging in a case of immature whining and complaining with no idea what you are talking about in the first place.
Well, like I said before. Good luck in your future gaming.

Lmao il say this once more, its not my machine, its not my connection, iv worked with computers all my life pretty much.
Either way its besides the point, if you read my post ul c even if the game works and didn't crash, due to many many many reasons, I wouldn't want to pay to play it anyway. Coz its TRIBBLE with reasons stated before back in beta, 30 days and now,,,,
Its always the game. They blame always the games. Its more the machine you play it on. I myself have never ever had any crash or problems with the game. And im enjoying it.
And to be honest i have seen topics about people who want to play this game on a laptop.
Laptop!!!!! WTH laptops are for professional stuff like office things. PC´s are infact also only for Office stuff. BUT it changed over the years and years of development. There are gaming laptop out there. But realy use laptops for office and pc´s for gaming and multitasking.
I want to say. Even if a machine is high end. You still have to think about your internet connection. If you connection is bad it wil lag, and it will look like that the game is not running good. But its your connection causing it.
lots of crashes and client freezing, this is ******** to be honest. Buy a better pc.
Lol look at all the fanboi's hating, sum1 doesnt like the game oh no!!!! it must be there machine!!!! lmao. I guess none of you can read? Since even if there were 0 bugs and 0 crashes there are still way to many things that make this game complete trash.
I think iv been pretty clear, keep stuffing money into cryptic. Fly safe have fun. o/
Even if every other game on the market runs fine for your machine, it can still mean your hardware setup is leading to issues with the software. Crashes are fairly uncommon now for most players - so I wouldn't rule out your combination of hardware/software settings.
With that in mind, can you tell us what you did before you crashed?
Just saying it crashed without the events leading up to it (nor hardware/software specifications) means it won't get fixed for players like you in the future.
More details today could mean a fix before Diplomatic Missions, Ship Interiors, and Klingon Content launch in July.
Sorry to hear you are having so many problems. I am glad personally to be in on this from the ground floor and as a LifeTime Member. As with any new game there is alway the bugs that pop up from now and again. I am glad that they are , in my opinion quickly addressed. I know when this gets better there will be a period when we will all look back and laugh and say, "Remember when the Klingons got stuck in a wall?" Give it time. I think this is the best MMO I have played and long have I waited for a STO and now that it is here, I will gladly work through all the problems and report any bug in knowing that it DOES make a better game in the long run. Live Long and Prosper and REPORT BUGS.
Gotta say, I put a post on this morning saying I wasn't going to resubscribe and explained why and it's disapeared already.
They really don't want people to say why they don't like the game.
I don't like the instancing and the feeling of emptyness because whenever I grouped this weekend (only played for an hour or so as I got bored), no matter how I tried to strike up conversation in a mission, no one wanted to recepriocate. This is the main reason I play an MMO is for the interaction and sadly STO lacks it.
Some say join a fleet however I don't think you should have to join one just so you can feel like your playing an MMo.
I love the space battles and thats the biggest plus however I can get the same thrill playing SFC3 and that costs me nothing.
I understand why they remove rants but I don't like the practicises in deleting posts that don't like the game and say why.
I for one will not be returning even in Season 2 and I will also not buy another MMO made by Cryptic as I also bought Champs online before STO and this too I left after my free time expired.
Lol look at all the fanboi's hating, sum1 doesnt like the game oh no!!!! it must be there machine!!!! lmao
Me fanboy hm fanboy of Star Trek yes. And i do appreciate all the hard work the devs are doing with this game. Even thou they gave me a infraction that will never go away, Dont feel i deserved it :rolleyes  Thats fine by me, i learned from it. I still say its your pc or connection when nobody else are having this issues.
This game hasn't crashed since beta for me. There have been no issues with client crashes in quite some time. You expect everyone here, people who have been actively playing, to believe that you experienced the same crashes and bugs that existed at launch.
Quite frankly, it's nonsense. Even several diehards who had issues with the game have acknowledged the bug fixes and stability of the game.
It's either you're PC, you're connection or you're lying to stir up trouble.
Don't know if it is just me, or a sense of irony, but I think the OP just described many of the mmos already on the market; even WoW has those problems... just more of "x" item than other games is all.

Sorry to hear this, ingame i se players all the time that asking others to group up for missions.
Players that is not in a fleet. Some dont like talking i guess. Many times when i'm ingame players do have nice
conversations about the mission etc. And yes there is to much instancing in this game, hope they will change that soon.
I would say, saying its the same crashing that occured back in beta, in 30 days and that it only happens in STO and only the STO program crashes, id say thats pretty dam accurate that its STO mr fanboi.
I feel I have to point out that the game has only crashed a few times since it went live, definaly only in the first month aswell, and that was only due to server overload and a few bugs that crash if you come across them, other than that the game hasn't gone down except for maintenance of my weekly "sod I'm in a pvp match" internet service provider's HAHA 5 minute connection refresh.
It doesn't have a Massive feel to the game, on that you are correct, I was expecting the whole thing to be a massive twist and turn of storylines within storyline within storyline and each action taking a different route so every storyline could be different, making you have to choose between following the prime directive, or ignoring them to get the job done for the greater good, exploration across different parts of the galaxy would bring different missions/storylines and distress signals, and each action would choose what kind of Final Officer you became, be it science, engineer or tactical. I was expecting to work aboard a starship till I was at least captain and then get my own ship with crew, whose own choices dipict how my actions would pan out because of their own skills, choices and input to the captain.
I think you are right in saying it's a copied game engine, it does have that limited "City of X" feeling of not alot to do, not much to see and very little to do that you havn't done before.... in short it seems to me that this and CoX are what should have been console games.
However I love STO, and hope for greater things to come in the future, I'm hoping this is just the "opening" and Cryptic will take peoples idea's into account and actually make this feel more like the never ending universe full of oportunity that Star Trek is and STO should be.
Lol look at all the fanboi's hating, sum1 doesnt like the game oh no!!!! it must be there machine!!!! lmao. I guess none of you can read? Since even if there were 0 bugs and 0 crashes there are still way to many things that make this game complete trash.

And finally the true post appears. You basically just don't like the game, and don't like Cryptic, so why not just say that in the first place?
I also have not had a single crash in this game, so by your rationale, that makes me a fanboi (is that even a word)? My machine is almost certainly not the same as yours, and yet the game is the same for both of us. Apply some logic and I'm sure you can see where the discrepancy is.
And finally the true post appears. You basically just don't like the game, and don't like Cryptic, so why not just say that in the first place?
it was interesting to see when he finally gets angry about people trying to help him..and also, he used fanboi only in his fourth post. he's really not THAT bad.
