It's the little details that make the difference between a great game and a shabby game.
Try this:
1) captain taps com-badge
2) computer says "transporting"
3) away team beams out
It's all about immersion baby!
This is a good bug post. In the game there is a '?". Click on it and post it as a bug.
I agree that it is inconsistent and should be cleaned up. It is better than it used to be so maybe there is something on how they are ending the missions where they need a longer delay to get things in sync with the server, player and so on.
There are also characters that don't tap their badges at all too. Liberated Borg, Fed Klingons and the Borg BO don't use theirs and simply stand up straight during transport with their arms by their side.
If you watch the show you'd see if the party is grouped together only one person needs to tap the badge and then say, "Four (or whatever) to beam up."
I think you shouldn't get asked to beam up, you should have to hit something and then hear "the appropriate number to beam up."
But if this were to ever be implemented (which would require some voice acting and various leaps of programming) it would probably require purchase on the C-Store for 500 points or whatever.

Also seems they have so many other things to fix, including ones on the "breaks immersion" list that this would have to be way down there.
But yeah, it would be nice to see details just be right. Especially the obvious.
