Your Favorite STO Episode and why

SystemSystem Member, NoReporting Posts: 178,019 Arc User
So I thought I would throw a littel praise around toady and create this thread. So what is your favorite STO story episode and why? Also for the sake of not runing the stories for those not yet familar with them lets try to be specific without gving away the end.

My favorite is Stopping The Signal. The reason is the ending is just so typical Klingon honor. It just feels so right.

What's yours?

    Star Trek The Next Generation
    Season Five, Episode Two
    Darmok

It reminded me that tolerance, and patience is needed, especially when you can't communicate.

Edit: Oops, I thought this was ten forward. I had posted a few times there, and thought I was still there. :)
In that case, I'd say it's a tie between Treasure Trading Station and The Tribble with Klingons. They both are fun, and throw a bit of a curve ball at you.

Treasure Trading Station has you extort a Ferengi. Everyone wants to do that.
The Tribble with Klingons allows you to help the tribbles, and anger the Klingons.

Everyone wants to do both of those things and get away with it.

While cool I was referring to the story arc missions in STO.

i can't remember the name of the episode but it was the one where the mission turns out to be a section 31 holodeck simulation.

I liked it because it gave me a choice at the end, even if it was only superficial. I'd like to see more of that.

I'm one of the few that reads and enjoys the episode plots. I spent a good five minutes pondering my thoughts about the right choice. They could have done more with that specific storyline, but I was suprised how mcuh angst I went through, thats good scripting.

My favorite episodes were the Commander level ground missions that dealt with the Romulan bases and the Undine --

I agree here, I think 'Darmok' nailed pretty much everything Star Trek should be.

As for STO, I really enjoyed the Guardian of Time mission for getting to fight alongside the Enterprise against TOS Klingons. I also enjoyed being annoyed by Q as he had me repeat that mission against the Borg again and again 'with feeling'. My only complaint for that mission was that I didn't get to call him 'Junior' or threaten to call his Aunt Janeway on him. >:)

Wait there is a section 31 holodeck mission?

It has to be "the Tribble with Klingons"

Sure it went for the easy laugh. But something about a horde of battle tested, honorable, self respecting klingon warriors fighting their most feared enemy...fuzzy little balls of carpet lint. Just never got old for me.

Ghost ship was awesome. Without giving away what happens they surprise element IMO had a real Trek feel to it.

I really enjoyed badlands as well. Flying around in this Iconic area was so much fun.

And of course City on the edge...All around just a ton of fun.

Sorry If making three was too much hehe

Section 31 was pretty cool too. Still am not sure if I made the correct choice. STO needs more missions like that.

Ghost ship here also, for the same reasons. In fact, most of the Commander missions have been a lot more Star Trek feeling than the earlier parts.

Section 31 for sure. It was the only mission where I had to make a choice. I mean, not one of those choices that had any impact on gameplay or rewards for completing the mission. But, you know, I got to click a button indicating I had chosen one thing instead of another.
