Ok, so we pay 50 bucks for the game...if you didn't get suckered into buying the life-time you also need to pay per month to play. On top of that you also need to pay the c-store if you want anything new...like ships or ship interiors. Cryptic has got to be the only company that makes you pay for the new content they add. If you cannot see that this is a rip-off, you are blind. They give you everything that sucks for free and charge you again and again for anything that is even remotely cool that should have been in the game in the first place. I just want to congratulate cryptic on yet another epic fail at an MMO. Expensive lessons....don't buy anything with the word cryptic on it.
I just wanted to say, "Microsoft Points". Now that is a rip-off in my opinion.
Unfortunately, there are people that will buy useless drivel off the C-Store helping reinforce putting more useless stuff up there for people to buy.
Forgive the drastic analogy, but it is a lot like going to the store and buying a recliner. You get home and open the box and it is just a frame. If you want the legs or arms you have to buy separately and extra. If you want the recline function you will have to buy that extra as well. You want cushions, well we're still working on the comfy rating.

So what would you rather have them do instead??? Raise the subscription price???
Since I'm not going to guess what Cryptic's bare bones staff consists of I will just go with this.
Fire a majority of their marketing people working on STO, and replace with developers and designers. That way, when you open the box with Star Trek logo, you get a nice comfy warm cozy feeling, instead of springs in the TRIBBLE.
I've bought C-Store points however I don't see how it's affecting gameplay. Anything I've purchased from it has been purely cosmetic.
I could see where you might be concerned if the items available were causing an imbalance between people who buy items from the C-Store and people who don't however the only item I can see available that adds functionality is the emote pack.. And well if someone wants to add that bad boy to their game then all the power to them.
Heck I've got friends who buy Diamonds in EA's Browser game Lord of Ultima or buy stupid Birthday gifts on Facebook.
It's not like Cryptic invented Microtransactions they're just jumping on the bandwagon.
Unfortunately for this complaint the boat has sailed, returned to port, sailed again, returned to port again and is now out at sea a third time ready to return to port for when cryptics next MMOG comes out. They've been doing this since CoH.
I know this will eventually get moved to the C-Store subforum and I'll probably not post anymore in the meantime because I have no interest.
I believe in whatever is on the store should also be available to be earned in-game without having to fork over the extra money I often can't afford to spend. Until that were to happen, the C-Store is in my mind going to be a rip-off to me. IMO
Anyway, its just a redundant and a my-way vs your-way beaten horse.

Awesome, I've been doing it but I never suggested it. THIS is the idea that everyone needs to be implementing.
The only thing I ever bought was the extra character slots, and now I regret giving in to them even that much. I wish I could give them the damn slots back and get a refund.

You are not alone.
How about Release Note your weapons may randomly some or all go offline and will stay offline until you die or warp out of the mission to do it again.
Raise the subscription price? C-Store ? They shouldn't be doing either.
BOYCOTT THE C-STORE
