Something I noticed on Risa

Does anyone else feel a bit out of place on Risa even in off duty clothes?
Sitting on a beach in pants and boots seems kinda off to me.
Would it be possible for cryptic to toss us some beach attire? Even if its not a real uniform option like we currently have.
Just give us a single bathing suit option for each gender and have the colors be based on out off duty choices.
When we beam down to the planet put us in those clothes automatically.

I know it's not a make or break game option and in no way necessary but I think it would be cool from an immersion standpoint.

This has been discussed about a month or so ago. It turned into a HUGE flamewar with people screaming "Freedom" and others screaming "Moderation".

The main issue with beach attire is wether it was going to be moderated and restricted to Risa or allowed everywhere. Which kicked off the Flamewar.

Last I had heard from the Cryptic Employees that were actually posting in that same thread. Its not on any "to do" list yet but a number of them have thought about it (and debated it between themselves as well) and wanted to get a feel for how the community viewed beach attire.

So I wouldnt expect that to make its way into an update anytime soon. As theres more pressing issues to take care of and its gonna take awhile for them to find a way to fix their avatar modelling to support beach attire. As well, a safe balance between freedom of the player and moderation.

i'm all for "swimwear" clothing if the following restrictions were put in place:

unable to wear them anywhere other than on Risa.

Forget swim wear, your captains need freedom, that why they should be aloud to be all natural :D if you don't like it then your against freedom. ( let the flame war begin. )

ok all funny junk aside. swim wear is what's needed, because it's strange to go swimming in a suit.

I thought this thread was going to be about the Pakled in the hut selling the stablizers. He's what I noticed on Risa.

    He's awesome.
