Difficulty Slider and Last Patch

So what happened? A decmial point get misplaced?

Prior to the last patch, I have been playing the game with all my characters on Advanced. It was challenging and rewarding. Then the past two days, BAM, I beam onto a planet and I am Incapacitated in 3 or 4 shots. Shields obliterated and health drained. Even pulling and using science teams loaded with holds and stuns, 30 seconds my entire Awayteam has been Incapacitated.

Please put Advanced back to where it was, I have had to switch back to Normal. To accomplish anything anymore.

They didn't change anything in the DS in any way. There's a couple of bugs on a couple of ground groups that they're looking into fixing. That's all there is to it.

    Please be more constructive.

I played on Advanced since it was implemented. Do not come here and tell me how to play.

But the ground combat has changed. Period. Using tactics, cover all that does not work, when 2 shots and your lying incapacitated on the ground.

    "Please be more constructive"

weaker players should practice at normal more- then go to advance -and not be surprised at variation

men should not complain. unless you are a kid. kids complain and its normal- if so i apoligise
    - a man should not belittle a kid either

Space combat is doable on elite, but surely not ground combat. Id be lucky to fire 1 shot before being pwned.

first of all, please be constructive, at all, if you need to be useless and annoying, the #chan sites are a good place for that

second, you are clearly making the mistake of thinking, that just because you havent bumped into this problem yourself, that the problem does not exist

i have done a lot of missions on both advanced and elite, most of them were fine, however, one group, in one of the ADVANCED missions, was clearly FAR harder then even the hardest npcs in the elite missions

even the rest of THAT MISSION was easy, just one group of S'Rellian npcs was totally out of whack with everything else, if i caught aggro, before my team, from that specific group, i was dead, IN LESS THE ONE SECOND
and this was NOT the boss group, this was one of the first in the mission, and YES, that group was far harder then the LEADER group, in the end of this same mission

There's a large disparity between elite space combat and elite ground combat.

As fleet pointed out, elite space combat is completely doable. I was able to keep up with ground combat until a recent mission(avoiding big open spaces helps). Then I ran into the original posters issue. Literally two shots and I'm down, the odd part is my bridge crew isn't getting slammed the same way. They manage to live a minute or two but I get wasted by a single guy with a disruptor pistol.

I figured maybe I'm just soaking up the initial barrage, but that can't be the case either. Even a single guy is enough to do it. The klingons were tough, but these guys are insane. It may be more apparent at lower levels too, I'm playing a new lt char on elite. Without a bunch of skills available I think its more obvious, the TRIBBLE-handing ness.

Well this is where you are mistaken. If you read what I said, I have been playing on ADVANCED since the slider as released. I was VERY Successful in Space AND Ground Combat. I come home, Update the program, now on ADVANCED I take two steps and I am Incapacitated. I do not need practice, I have 3 Characters that are level 45. I am playing another only on ADVANCED and that character is Lt Cmdr 2. So for your information, I am experienced.

As for Men not complaining? Excuse me? What we are suppose to sit there and take it? Tell that to the Men that complained the game was too easy and wanted a Death Penalty. Tell that to the Men that complained the game needed a Difficulty Slider. Complaining is how the world works, it is the only way Cryptic knows that they need to look at something. Which they obviously do.
