I have a Intel Core 2 Quad Q8300 each 2,50 GHz, 4 GB RAM and I am running a NVIDIA GeForce 9400 GT with over 1 GB memory. My operating system is Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit.

Taking my computer and the recommended system requirements for this game into account then I can't understand why I have such major performance issues. This game stalls at every turn.

My computer surpasses the recommended system requirements yet it is unable to play the game at its highest settings and I tried every single option in the video settings as well as the troubleshooting.

I need help. Doesn't this game support Quad Cores or what is going wrong on my end?

Please help me!

You probably have the graphics settings set too high. Before I built a new system I was using a q6600 just fine with a 9800gtx +. You are a little weak on the ram front using a x64 OS. With the way things are made these days and the world of cheap ram you should bump it up to 4gb, that should help a lot.

    Thank you for your help.

My computer has 4 GB RAM and my Geforce 9400 GT has 1024 MB.

Shouldn't that be sufficent RAM? I am sadly not an expert on computers.

The 9400 is not really a good gaming card. In Nvidia it is the second number relates to the strenght of the cardto type of applications, the first number is just a series indicator.

4gb of ram should be more than enough memory to run the game under 64 bit win7

I will agree with the previous post tho in that your video card is most likely the culprit as said the 2nd number is the performance range of the card. an 8800 card would be superior to your 9400 card for example.

Turn your graphics settings down a notch or 2 and you should see far less jerking or framing in game

other than that it might be time to start saving up for a new graphics card

Thank you both for the help. :)

It seems I picked the wrong graphics card when costumizing my computer on the internetshop.

Which one is better now? The Geforce 8800 or the AXLE nVidia GeForce 9800GTX+ 1024MB PCI Express 1GB DDR3 256-bit?

I intend to play in HD. Have to tune the graphics settings down for now. Makes the game look extremely bad though. Well there goes another paycheck. :(

I use a 9800 GTX+ 1gb and it works great, although I think some of the GTX 2xx series cards out perform it now and are a lower price.

As long as you go with a 260 or higher.

I just bought a Nvidia GeForce GTS 250 through amazon.

It beats the GeForce 8800 (not the ultra version) according to the technical info of the card on the nvidia website.

It is a money issue as well. The newest high end cards are just to expensive. Lets hope the 250 will be able to handle the game.

Thank you again for all your help.

That should be sufficient to run the game on decent settings.
