So, i managed to scoop up the demo today..(I literally woke up at around 7-ish this morning to wait for it to hit) and i played it as a Science Officer on the first run. I blew through it in about an hour or so, and racked up enough EC to score a couple new weapons, some armor, and some ship pieces before the game began bugging out and failing to transfer my character into the Sol System. So i made a new guy, totally custom Alien Tactical Officer who's apparently WAY too powerful for these lower-leveled NPC mobs in the first mission, and i'm rather enjoying it. But now i'm stuck just floating around in my rigged Miranda Class (That looks like i ran an Akira through a Taffy Puller) and i honestly would like to see more of the game. Unfortunately due to my seriously-awful budget cuts this month i cannot purchase a key and a subscription.
Can anyone help me out here? at least get me a weekend or two's worth of no leashes so i can unleash my old 23rd century starship against something until i can score a Nova or Sabre?
(P.S, i can only really play from Friday to Sunday Evening anyway due to school, so a weekend or two is honestly the caffiene-induced Power hour i truly deserve after 5 days of hell.)
(Edit: Forgot to mention that i had signed up for the Open Beta, Closed Beta, was a member of the STOcom.net website, and knew about STO since before Cryptic took over where Perpetual Left off.)
I have absolutely no idea what it is you are asking for here
One of those shiny keys where i can fly around in other places besides the Sol System and the remains of the SS Azura mission. Preferrably a key with that tiny pink fuzzy ball that hangs on the lanyard.

The Devs have confirmed that Buddy Keys work the exact same way as Referral Keys now so there's no help along those lines. The only other type of key available would be from the people who purchased the CE (10 days, level 15 limit), and those are limited to 3 per box. I'm not sure how many people are willing to part with those for a stranger.

Hmm. Very odd. Because the news post from the Admins say the Buddy Keys give 5 days unrestricted, but don't count towards the referral program.

Maybe they updated it just now.
Time to have a look-see...
Well, they didn't say anything about the buddy and referral keys being the same. Unless they pulled some ninja-like tactics to sucker people into getting buddy keys, only to realize that they're stuck doing what the demo folks are doing.
It appears GM Destra edited his post from earlier in the day where he said that Referral and Buddy Keys are the same.
Hmm...so my question still stands. May i please loan a buddy key from someone (Again, fuzzy pink tassle on the key makes a great addition), so i can blast through about 10 or so levels before sunday or so?
(P.S, i build up my massive amount of nerdgaming power for friday / saturday, then just go all-out and go hardcore until about sunday afternoon. Did that with WoW for a while until i got tired of being whined at by raiders.)
