Veterans Rewards

DISCLAIMER: I'm looking for some information regarding Veterans Rewards. My time on the forums is very limited, so please do not reply with flaming posts such as "L2usethesearchfunction" or "that's been answered many times already" or "ZOMG follow DevTracker on Twitter" as I simply do not have the time to be glued to the forums for hours on end scrolling through 38 pages of flaming grief to find the answers, or have DevTracker tweets sent to my phone. I'm looking for answers here, not a bunch of grief- so please, spare my the sarcastic antics, nasty threads and unhelpful information. Thank you.
To show our appreciation, we've put together these great Veteran Rewards for anyone who's been a Star Trek Online subscriber for 100, 200, 300 and 400 days.

I'm assuming that means an active subscription (and not a total /played among all character), which means that everyone who has had an active subscription since game release day (February 2) has had their subscription active for 94 days (at the time of this original posting, May 7). So the first salvo of Veteran Rewards will go out in six days (May 13).

My questions stem from the following:

-Del Taco Promotion: This promotion granted two days of free game time

-Head Start: Individuals who pre-ordered the game were granted four days of game time before the launch date.

-Closed/Open Beta: Individuals who were a part of this program have essentially had their accounts active (assuming they still play) since October 22nd of last year for closed beta, and since January 12th (minus the two days of down time between the open beta and head start) for open beta.

Will the total days tallied for the active account include all of these bonus times? Or is it just an active subscription since the launch date of February 2nd.

    Here is the information:
Thursday May 13th if you activated your account on launch day.

Devs have indicated that they aren't sure if it will include headstart (which would put it a few days earlier) or the grace period beta users had to activate their CD key, I think.

So if you entered your CD key on launch day, Thursday, May 13th. Other stuff may mitigate that if you delayed entering your CD key or were in headstart, depending on which way that goes.

Yep. We are working on getting the specifics so we can post them ASAP. Currently the plan is to have your total sub time displayed in the account management Web UI, but the design is not finalized yet.

Publishing information on the specifics of our upcoming promotions is one of our highest priorities right now, so rest assured that we will be putting plenty of documentation up over the next few days.

Yes, soupgoblin is correct. At this time we do not have a finalized date for what the exact "first" date will be. Most likely it will either be launch day, or the day that pre-order lifetime subscriptions became available.

Additionally, the Veteran rewards are calculated based on the number of days your subscription has been active; played time and free days are not taken into account. It is simply the number of days between the date your subscription became active, and the current date. :)

Should be the headstart day. Since that is when technically the "live release" version of the game came out and everything we created/did started "counting".

I wouldn't complain much if it started when I bought my lifetime.

I would. I'm embarrassed that I did so at this point.

Yes, I bought mine the day it first became available. I paid full price for this game before beta even ended.

I am ashamed. And won't ever make such a mistake again, trust me on that.

I, on the other hand, am enjoying the game. I haven't regretted my purchase of the lifetime sub for a moment.

I don't enjoy leveling other characters after reaching max level as "content" particularly since it means repeating stuff I've already done multiple times.

Leveling new toons is STO's current endgame. Which is unacceptable and won't retain subs. My game play time has dwindled from every day, 30+ hours a week down to 2-3 days a week and maybe 4 hours total.

Frankly, if Cryptic would refund even 1/4th the cash I payed for the LTS, I'd happily go away, wait a year, and see if the game is worth subscribing to.

Same here. But its not 4 Hours per Week for me. It's more like one Hour per Week if i log in at all.

And of course they don't know yet which date counts as Start. They don't know what date new Content is really coming. They don't know how to get the things done cause something "cool" is not in yet. They don't know what date the new C-Store Ship is coming even if they told us a date for it. They don't know much and for certain they don't know how to keep Costumers satisfied but they know how to slap Costumers in the face by giving a Ship that many people want only for bringing more people than i already have.

If i could make the decission again with the knowledge i have now, i would not buy Lifetime Subs for me and my Wife anymore. And i would not bring Friends, Family and half of the Guild from my old MMO to STO.

Well lets see if your going by the lifer release date then today is the day. Its been 14 weeks exactly which puts us at 98 days. If your going by the general release date then its this Thursday.

Surely, and please feel free to correct me here, then lifetime subscribers should just get them all now, as we will get them all anyway?

Ok greedy I know, I know.

Yup. I think about logging in... realize my options:
    • Make a new toon and slog through old content.
    • Log on my main and slog through 3 explores.
    • Log on my main and slog through the ground combat of a STF.
    • Log on my Klink and spam PVP.

Then I go and play a game whose gameplay I don't use the words "slog" or "spam" to describe.

I'm probably not going to get a Galaxy X by bringing friends in, because I like having friends and reasonably expect recommending this game to adversely affect that.

Oh but hey, I can pay Cryptic more money for a new race! Or pay for respecs and fluff!

... I must be a moron. That's the only possible explanation I can think of.

I have no opinion one way or another. I am just pleased to see you posting :) And with that I really must go to bed :)

I didn't really think of it like that. Lifetime subscribers are all from the opening days of the launch for the game, so we'll get all the bonuses and all around the same time too. Since our subscriptions can't be cancelled, perhaps this is a viable option.

+1 to enjoying the game totally and eagerly awaiting every additional season. Just think of it like Voyager Season 1, it'll gain momentum as time plods on.

Sorry to tell you that .... but when you realize NOW that the game is repetitive .... you really shouldn't pay for any MMO in the future .... not even on a monthly basis ..... sure you can argue if STO is more repetitive than other MMO's and i might even agree partially ..... but it should have been crystal clear that LT doesn't mean there is content for your Lifetime especially in an MMO .... every MMO's is repetitive in one way or the other, so sorry you should have known that ...

Consequently, I still have fun playing .... I don't play that much, let's say 1-2 hours a day, but I have known from the start that playing an MMO gets boring from time to time (even the one with 2 W's and an O in the middle :P ) .... so take a break or play less for a month or so .... thats what LT is for .... you have all the time in the world to go back and play again when you like to ...

Repetitive Gameplay is the whole point of MMO's, if you want a nice story for a few hours, go play Mass Effect i.e.

Weird because if I hated the game that much I wouldn't be here posting.
I'm not the biggest fan of what's happened so far, but if I truly disliked it that much...I wouldn't waste my time posting about it.
