Are you saying you got a key when you downloaded the free demo? i didn't. When I launch the patcher it tries to connect then says 'account error, please contact billing'. I have submitted a ticket and the reply simply said that the free demo doesn't start till 10 on friday 7th. Well it's after that time and I'm still getting the error report. I've re-submitted the ticket
Hrm, no, I didn't get a key when I got the demo, I played through the demo. It ended up working for me around 10:15 this morning.
What I'm asking is:
1) if I purchase the full game, do I have to redownload the thing or will it work with the already installed demo client?
2) How can I attach my purchase Key (that I will presumably get from Atari once purchased) to my current account and character who has already gone through the training missions?

(By they way, you do know that you have to have a subscription in addition to the retail package, with the first 30 days of play free...)
And yes I was aware of that, already punched in my billing info for my STO account.
