Not Quitting, Just taking a Break

Flame me if you feel you must. I don't care. This post isn't mainly for other players (with exception to positive feedback) but more for the Cryptic team in hopes that they happen to read it.

I'm bored. It's not lack of content or that I hate the game or changes to BOF abilities or any of that. I'm simply out of things to strive for. It doesn't matter how many victories, kills, how much damage I acrue... there's simply no point. The game has no goals for competative players. It's all fluffy bunny... everybody can accomplish everything... everybody is already tricked out with full epic equipment and weapons. I think you see what I'm saying.

First, epic gear should never have been available for purchase through any such system. I can see green and maybe even blues... but not grapes. I understand we're trying to make the game more casual friendly... we're casting our lines to the people who will leave WoW for a less gear intensive environment. I got it. But you have to have something to strive for.. something that takes longer than a month or two to accomplish. The very fact that there's people running around with more than 2 lvl 45's with all grape gear to include BOF's... that just reeks of way too easy and diminishes any sort of sense of accomplishment.

PvP is redundant... there's no real point anymore. Without stat tracking or open pvp zones with 24/7 war and actual objectives that affect the universe... it's pointless. Boring.

I'm a lifer. I will be back in and out to help fleet buddies on occasion. But my STO every night days are over until the game has something to keep us working at. I do love this game and have done my best to try and provide positive feedback during closed and open Beta but it seems like you guys have your own objectives and it doesn't look like this game will be fulfilling my needs any time soon. For everyone about to flame because you're on the opposite side of the spectrum to me just note that I am glad yer still happy and having a good time. But, all of the guys in my circle are of this same mind about the game.

I definitely understand your point of view.
Though with the nature of how posts like this are treated I am still going to lock this thread. We appreciate your feedback though.
