Sitting in the morning sun I'll be sitting when the evening comes
watching the ships roll in and I'll watch 'em roll away again yea
I'm sitting on the dock of the bay watching the tide roll away ooh
I'm just sitting on the dock of the bay wasting time
I have a problem with this demo. I downloaded it and am currently installing it to another drive(F drive). However, it seems that by downloading ithe demo at all, my main full game client(which i assume the demo client still is) is now redownloading the full 11 Gigs for my Holodeck and Tribble shards(on my C drive). I don't have that much space left on my PC to have multiple copies of the game.
I was only wanting to see what the demo was like so I could better promote it to friends and family on Facebook & email of what their experience would be like.
Can anything be done about this, or do I really need to add an additional 11 to 22 Gigs of content to my PC just to run the demo and then go back to my main account?
I got a "Cryptic Error: Oops!" with my installation and update of the client. I wonder if i should give up on testing the demo on this account, and just forget the whole referral thing altogether(just read about the galaxy x and holographic BO rewards). Geez.
Ok, it appears I am downloading the actual demo client without issue.
I apologize but toclear up any confusion, my previous comments were regarding updating my full game clkient to play on my main account after finishing the dmeo levels. It appears the demo is only 2 Gigs and is currently downloading at 80%.
I would like to restartmy main game client to see if it still giving errors, but i will wait for ths demo client to install before updating the Holodeck and Tribble clients for my main game.
Sorry for the possible earlier over-reaction. Bt i still don't understand why it appears my main client had to reownloadboth versions of the game from 0%, or was it just verifying the install?
My account is still giving me the error of "Your accout does not have permission to access the game at this time." I thought that since this is a demo version of the game, I should be able to access the game with this account that does not have a subscription, should I not?
I used ithe account in Open beta, but not really since so it should work right?

When you start up the game and access your account through the login screen, it will turn it on for you.
Also, it doesn't greenlight until 10:00 Pacific Time.

Oh, I thought being the 7th that is was already all ystems go. Oh well, I guess I will get back to playing on my main untiil that time.
When loading the game client with this account, the Tribble and Holodeck Shards do not come up on the list. That area is blank when using a demo accuont, but the game patches just as quickly. Once I have the game loaded I get the error I stated before about not being able to access at this time. Yet I can then go back to login screen without existing the game, and log into my paid subscription and access the full game.
I guess this does mean that the demo is just a restriction placed on the player, and the demo users are given full access to game the game client but just certain areas, which I should have realized frm the start. No real need to have downloaded the demo "client".
I look forward to seeing what my friends and family may be playing, so I can hopefully get that Galaxy X ship for cheap!

Yeah, the demo basically restricts your gameplay until you pay for an active subscription. You download and install the full game as well, so if and when you do upgrade to full, you don't have to re-download or patch up anything. You can just jump in and go from there.
And yes, Cryptic's office hours start at 10 AM Pacific, so usually they wait until people start arriving to work in order to flip the switch.

My bet is it will be turned on in the morning. ( 10 am to 1 pm ) if I had a key I would get you one, but I'm all out.
