I'm having similar issues as well. I've already run the nettest tool, and it's showing very slow speeds on all the ports in the 7000 range. I've got a support ticket open with Cryptic's support as well as my ISP's tech support, since I have no idea where the problem lies....it is very frustrating....

Same problem here. Just started a few days ago after the last patch. Will only let me play for a few minutes and then server disconnects. Getting frustrated!

My friend and I also just recreantly started having this problem. We have filed several tickets with Cryptic but nothing helling just tell us to use the proxy which makes it worse. It's quite bad I have seen several posts since the last patch regarding this issue and. Cryptic keeps insisting its out computers. I'm starting to see why all the complaints about Cryptic. I'm a lifetime member and getting a response take for ever and getting a helpful or useful response to anything Ive written about has yet to occur.

    provide valid information.
    do a tracert patchserver.crypticstudios.com
    download and run nettest

    Nettest:
    Go to http://files.champions-online.com/nettest.exe
Download this file and run it
A command prompt should appear running the test automatically

For good connections, column 1 and 3 have values around 500 kb/sec (outgoing/incoming), column 2 has values around 20 kb/sec (transfer rate)
    post the results
If you can play at sometimes without disconnects and other times of the day you have problems. Take a reading during both times and post the results.

your reading as a little low but you should be ok for most part. What OS are you using and what type of modem/router and nic card are you using.
Some 2 wire modems have problems handling the small packet streams the game uses and the number of connections . (usually require an firmware upgrade )
Also if using a wireless under vista the network search vista does every 60 seeconds can cause lag and disconnects

    Windows xp sp3
    Modem-motorolla sb5120
Router-Linksys Wireless-G wrt54g (wireless for gf's mac book, my pc is connected)
nic card? 1394 net adapter #2 or Marvell Yukon 88e8053 oci-e gigabit ethernet controller or nvidia nForce networking controller #2......i hope it is one of those.

    Thanks.

will do some more searching but
If you are using the nvidia nForce networking controller I would see if the driver for it is uptodate.
Also you may want to check if there is an firmware update for the modem. I have found several post on the net of connection problems with the modem used with linksys routers.
