After a recent thread I came to the conclusion that a lot of frustration comes from not knowing how to counter skills that are thrown at you. There are situations where you can't do much about it no matter how you counter it but this isn't about that. I'm going to list skills by class first, with counters, then bridge officer with counters. I don't know all the counters by any means so please feel free to contribute and I'll try and edit the post to show it. I'm only including skills here that affect your ship directly and can be countered by skills directly so while you can use evasive maneuvers to get away while tractor beam holds you I don't class that as a counter because you're still held, just further away. It isn't an exhaustive survival guide but as you'll see I don't know them all myself and I doubt I'm alone.

You think you're so smart with your answers to everything and and and....... well that works I suppose :P I don't read signatures on forums a lot so I completely missed that. Would you mind if I got the missing information from there? It doesn't hurt to have it available in more places.
