Not sure if it's all been added with this patch, but I've noticed the Ground Environment has become more animated. Just did a mission with floating balloon trees and some luminous plants I hadn't seen before.
Now all we need is the occassional critter to make the planets feel organic.
I'll add my voice to this.
I was on a barren world with a strong wind, partly overcast red sky and the local star low on the horizon, but what made me stop and watch was that the shadows from the clouds appeared to be moving so that even if you were standing still you would be in shadow one moment, and then the cloud would pass and you'd have these looooong shadows cast. Very immersive. Kudos to whoever created that place/effect.
They are definitely better. I think after the Captain's Table was released (for anyone who hasn't seen it the outside of it looks amazing) they really started to crack down on making the planets look better too.
Same thoughts here. I had a couple over the past few days that had insects and such buzzing about, and those animated shadows from clouds are very nice.
Yep, I've noticed a gradual improvement too, but I wasn't sure how much is due to them adding detail, versus me turning my detail settings back up to the defaults. Back during the beta, I had to crank a lot of the settings down to get an acceptible framerate. I think they've done a bit of optimization since then.
ive noticed it also, i was doing an away mission on a planet and the wind was blowing all around and along with the sound effects it was just simply beautiful.

Nice work to whomever put this together!
