First off I never really liked the alternate dimension episodes of Star Trek. We've got enough problems in our own dimension thanks! :P
Few days back I ran across Terran Empire ships in a DSE and I'm just wondering how are they in our dimension? Is there any in-game explanation or were they just included from a lack of imagination?
Didn't the Terran Empire get totally destroyed and all humans were slaves? I remember that they finally got their freedom again, but why would they be invading our dimension, and how'd they get so many ships? I guess it could be another alternate dimension where the Terran Empire never fell, but I hate that they're just thrown into combat with us without any explanation.
Also from what I remember is that the only way for ships to be transferred back and forth is by a? And the only way to get back and forth reliably was with that teleporter device alternate O'Brien created.
So has anyone run across anything in-game with how/why they're here? Any NPC mentioning them?
Not yet, I figured I'd get a mission sooner or later explaining it (I'm captain 5 at the moment).
The last episode of DS9 I remember, the terrans had reconstructed the defiant from a stolen schematic, and re-took DS9 in their dimension. I think there's one more episode after that, but I'm not through it yet
My first instinct was, who cares? I thought of it as a way to allocate Fed tech loot drops but it turns out loot isnt related to what you are killing and high loot is allocated through vendors anyway.
Oh well, its there if they ever do put more thought in to the way we collect inventory.
Well, they are the Terran Federation now...they stole alot of Starfleet tech...or used the Defiants tech to jumpstart a big technological advance in their dimension. I do recall having to collapse a portal they were using to enter our universe.

But I wouldn't mind reading a faction page like the ones already on the homepage.

Re-watching them all....
