could create a mirror forum? In this forum we could shove the following...
A) I'm a lifetime subscriber and the game sucks...please listen to me cry and stroke my precious little ego...

You are all stupid for playing this game...please listen to me cry and stroke my precious little ego...
C) The entire game is broken and buggy and not worth playing...
D) Other general complaining
Before you bleeding hearts go off, hear me out.
I realize MMO boards are 70% populated with hate and venom. It's in every MMO I've ever played and I realize the genre attracts a certain "special type" of gamer. I just think it would be a) more productive for your complaints and b) nicer for people who don't have 5000 issues with the game and would like to look at a forum not filled with this f'in garbage. Seems to be a win/win for us all. Cryptic could grab a tissue and wade into your sea of tears and the rest of us could benefit from a tear free forum with posts and information from people who actually enjoy the game.
Just give the mods a little power and some tools to make organizing this TRIBBLE easier. Then when people wander off their path the mod can just flip them into the correct forum.
WIN!!!!!

Has a nice ring to it.
Apparently you are under the impression I want defiance eliminated.
Now...read again.
I just want to help organize it.
You're doing this wrong. If you want to collect enough infraction points to get banned before your cancellation clicks in ... you need to go on the offensive and spam the forums. Like many a CO-malcontent did way back in 2009, when it still wasn't even trendy.
How would that be the mirror forum? You described 99% of the actual forum. The forum in the mirror universe has people generally being nice to each other and talking about how they love the game. Because in the mirror universe, if you have something awful to say you do it to their face...at gunpoing and/or agony chamber.
Thx
Bai.
I stand corrected, lol.
I think you're confusing Bizarro World with Mirror Universe.
Mirror Universe can have just as much rage and anger. It's just the women are all dressed in skimpier outfits.
And the vulcans have goatees.
And Kira is in leather.
And ... I forgot what i was saying.
OK...you are getting warmer. I just think there should be a "special" DEFIANCE forum...
We'll call it the short bus for STO forums.
Don't take Kee's post personally. It's not meant to attack you, your idea or this thread. It's designed to purposely break the rules of the forum in an attempt to get infraction points as quickly as possible after Kee cancelled. Kee is trying to go out with a bang. Just ignore it or report it. And don't take it personally. It's a game Kee and some others are playing.

Wow...and I would just quit playing a game I didn't like and not come back...
weird...
you know what would be funny. ( even if it wont happen ) if the mod ignore him, so he would still have the option to come back. ( one last slap in the face? in his mind:D )
Rage and anger is normal for the Mirror Universe. No one would be caught acting nice to each other in person. They will only do so from the anonymity of the internet.
Mirror Internet F-Wad theory: Audience+Total anonymity= Really swell guy
some players forget to take their meds from time to time.
Ok. Your reference there has me rethinking this.
Well played.
I also have noticed a lot of the repeated negativity on the STO boards however have made quite frequent use of the ignore button.
Funny how after only ignoring a small handful of users It's made my time here much more enjoyable.
I don't mind seeing criticism or negativity as long as its constructive, but often it really does seem like a vocal minority of users here tear others apart for simply trying to enjoy the game and writing about it while not so subtly trying to mask their insults as constructive replies.
That might be the idea I was looking for!
Excelsior!!!
That appears to be the category this thread falls into.
Mediocrity is palatable. Anything that would rise "above" that mediocrity is probably more polarizing than the game we got.
That said, I think the defiance we see here is full of a lot of great ideas for improvements but my bigger issue is with people hung up on the idea that their improvements should have been implemented at launch or have to be implemented by the end of the month to keep them from quitting.
I think you can be just as passionate and just as fiery as many of these posters are while having a realistic timetable that includes both an awareness of what S2 is slated to include (it gets old seeing people demand things already promised for July, seemingly unaware of them) and an awareness that some things, at this point, are eight months or a year off even if Cryptic is in total agreement and that maybe they'd be better off walking away from the debate until then.
Ignore them in game and you won't see them on the forums either.
