Ker'rat spawn point

Can you PLEASE fix the spawn point? It's mentally challenged that you can start a new instance there or enter the zone without being surrounded by 10 enemy players all with autofire on.

There needs to be an attack delay when a new instance starts of like 3 secs or something.
I play both factions and this happens on both.

Glad to see this is still a problem.
I have a screenshot of no less than 8 cruisers camping the spawn point for an extended period of time.
But let's not fix that instead let's have the devs play on tribble not fixing any of the glaring imbalances like this.

We wouldn't want them to respond to a thread or repeated tickets by tons of different people in regard to this problem, instead lets work on making new fed ships, c store items, more fed missions. They have to make sure they focus on what's important.

Lets face it, the minuscule PVP at the Ker'rat spawn point is the only PvP that most players will see.

There are far more important things to fix than this. Ker'rat could be an awesome zone, with the feds and klingons fighting it out while fighting the borg at the same time. But instead it is just a few klingon players getting called rats (or worse) cause they are disrupting the fed's desire to accumulate pixels. Fix that and the spawn camping will be gone too.

If I am being spawn camped I just don't respawn. I wait till most of the campers get bored and then have fun with any that hang around.

I know exactly what you mean and the last part is what I do too. I'll warn them and if they try (even succeed sometimes) to kill me I'll take my time and try to pick them off one at a time after they move on. I did so last night after five players all spawn ganked me in a science ship. All power to weapons, waited for them to drift off one by one and when they engaged the Borg I added my own shots. It was just about as fair as the odds I faced, perhaps better for them in the long run since they faced NPCs. Satisfying to watch them explode :D

This is true. Ever tried scrambling sensors on some hapless newbie? Its utter carnage!! :D

The spawn point is kind of problematic, but I like the way it forces people together.

Yeah some people will get angry with those who PvP in Kerrat, but I find moer people actually want to have fun here. If you find a good group of poeple, the Borg warzone can be one of the most fun things in the game.

It's utterly TRIBBLE that this is still happening, it's such a basic element in any multiplayer game that fixed spawn points are protected. Hard to believe they could design this TRIBBLE.

Oh, and Kerrat is the only place in the whole damn game that feels even vaguely like an MMO... Raise the player cap on Kerrat instances please!!!!!!

I gotta say the PvP element in that zone used to drive me nuts on my feds. lol
I've been leveling my klink... and hunting feds there is fun.
My suggestion on the spawn is to hold your Evasive power for the spawn... running your engine power setting a few seconds before the spawn will help. When it resets with 100 engine power you should be able to end up 20k away in no time even in a crusier.

One note... leveling my klink in the same content gets boaring.... so I go fed hunting to change it up. Also keep in mind the Klingons have the same mission as the feds and often half the players... so tacticly it makes sense to scare em off mission. If the 6 feds in the mission are balling up or running scared we can win. I've been in a couple good klingon groups where 1 of us with run and scan... while another goes fed hunting. (We have won a few with just us there and 6-7 feds)

I kinda wish there were more open PVP zones then Kerrat and the ground PVP area (forget it's name, never go there). And yes, Ker'rat reset spawn point, and the Spawn point in general needs fixing. As does the Borg Spawning.. I'm getting tired of having to finagle a borg scanning spot just because of a probe that is lodged into the scan point. Firing at me..and I can't fire back..

I sometimes wish the Capture and Hold was an open PVP area instead of an Instanced zone PVP map. Same goes for the one that you Blow up Resources. Those two maps could make Space PVP more interesting if they were made into Open PVP zones. And then make Daily PVP missions requireing you to go into those zones would be kinda fun. More fun at least then Ker'rat is right now..

There's two perfectly good reasons why feds jump all over the klinks at the spawn point.

    1. Klingons do it to feds when they outnumber them in Kerrat.

    2. It's the only chance that a fed can group gank a klingon. Extremely satisfying after it's been done to you a few hundred times by roving bands of klingons who are only there to group gank feds.

Granted, it is a bug, but there's a lot of bugs in this game that Cryptic doesn't seem interested in fixing. The borg have been getting stuck in the structures in that zone since launch.

I think where all over em when we don't outnumber them. ;)

Is it a bug or just the way it was intended... I kinda like it... I'm out of there before theres any trouble for me... and I love circling back and taking the straggling sheep.

    This.

I love this aspect of Ker'rat, and getting the chance to grief the griefers. It's not so much taking advantage of spawn as it is taking advantage of being able to see the damn Klinks before they can cloak and run away.

Watching my HY Quantums follow a cloaked Klink as he tries to escapes and blow him to smithereens: PRICELESS. :D

    .

The most klingons I've seen in that zone were nine. How do I know this? I took advantage of yet another bug, zoned into a pvp match from within Kerrat, when I came back I was on the Klingon team. So I just counted them. Oh, and guess what they were doing? Cloaked at spawn point group ganking feds.

Well some do that... board I guess. That particular bug is funny as hell. I had a bugged cruiser try and shoot me when I declocked. It is funny seeing the reaction when the fed bugged players see how manuverabale a cloaked Bop is.

Im good on the various tactics that can be used however the method you mention doesn't work very well when there are more than 6 fed in the spawn.

Very true... then its just fun hunting them. We spent some time there today and I have to say changes or no, the feds are still fun prey.
