I have no idea how to use memory alpha. Well i know how to spend anomalous data, but i dont know how to open up other vendors.Do i have to spend a certin amount of data or is it rank or something? If anyone could explain please be detailed like what exactly you have to do:D.

I'm not quite so sure myself, but I've had others tell me using at least 7,000 EC worth in items is about normal for opening up the second vendor.

It's being tweaked right now. On the Tribble test server there is a huge change to Memory Alpha. And it's MUCH CLEARER. And explains how to use it MUCH BETTER.

So my advice would be to wait a bit. For the new Memory Alpha to be put on the live server. And then take a second look at it, as it will make a lot more sense than it currently does.

    what he said

with any luck we may even see it this week, depends if they have gotten all the bugs out, if not it will be next week

it will be worth waiting for as at the moment its a bit pointless and confusing

If you want to use the current Crafting system as it is (at least you can 'craft' Mk IV Impulse Engines and Deflectors in the 2nd Tier without worring about advancing through Mk IV personal devices first), be forewarned YOU ARE NOT NOTIFIED WHEN YOU ADVANCE A LEVEL in the current system. The only way to tell is to check the other scientists, and see if they 'offer' their 'store' to you... Read this thread for further info... I have crafting / memory alpha information - Star Trek Online Forums:

I suggest waiting. By the end of next week the new Memory Alpha system will be released for all to use.

I've tested it on Tribble and its a huge improvement.

It is changed, but not in a huge way by any definition. It is simply made clearer, kinda. A huge change would warrent an entire revamp into an actual crafting system. As one Dev already posted, THAT will come much later (as usual).

My advice is to save the mats and wait and see if they ever deliver a true crafting system like they promised, or if the present system is all we get.

IMO, you should save your gathered materials until they release the new Memory Apha. I'm hoping the upgrade will be engaging, so I'm backing off from crafting until it's updated.

    This!

While the change on Tribble will make it better, that's not saying much.

Spend hundreds of thousands on basic Mk IV and Mk IV items and samples to clear Tier 2, then do it again for the Science, and again for the Engineer, just to get items you can get off the exchange for a TRIBBLE-ton less.
