If You Cancel, tell PayPal or CC to block them from charging you ;Here is my story:
First, I cancelled the game 2 months ago (on 3/4/10 and I have the confirmation email) when I got billed while I was still in my 60 days of free game play included in the 2 keys I register on my account. That kind of error was inexcusable and I have yet to get refunded for it.
Then, this morning, I found I was charged again for STO. I logged in my account and they reactivated it (again, I have an email from them on 3/4/2010 confirming my cancellation request)!
Before filing a dispute with PayPal, I tried calling the support Number Crypitc gives. That number (provided on the PayPal Page) told me the support number changed and gave me a new number. I called the new number and got a recording that there is no live phone support. Also, I could not file a ticket through their online support. The "Create New Ticket" doesn't do anything even after searching their useless issues database.
I then called PayPal and they confirmed I had no recurring billing agreement with Cryptic/STO. I have an outstanding dispute. I will be filing complaints with other organizations over this as well. This mistake is going to cost them more than $14.99.
My Wisdom to You: Be proactive when cancelling your account: tell your financial institution not to accept further charges from them.
