alot of people seem to have missed this but:

Once your friend has purchased Star Trek Online, you’ll receive a brand new title – Courier – as well as an exclusive Holographic Tribble Pet! What’s more, you both can enjoy:

we gotta catch them all!

    Two questions :

    1) What kind of stat/buffs does it have?

    2) Can it interbreed/multiply like other organic REAL tribbles? (Well, as "real" as allowed in-game!) :p

it would be silly if it could breed, so I have no doubt it will be able to.

hopefully it's buffs and stuff are better than the Rivera tribble.

I just recently bought a second copy of the game for myself... do I get the holographic tribble?

Doubt it because the referral program they are talking about doesn't seem to be live yet. The refer link just has a coming soon.

I know. The 5-day buddy key thing they did before, I sent to someone but because it was just a 5 day the person hasn't used it yet because of schedule. A lowly 5-day would only get 2 days out of the person because wouldn't have 5 full days to play in a row. I sent a message today after reading this news and told him not to use that old key and maybe this one will be a 15-day trial so he can actually really trial the game.

EDIT: and what is the deal with Cryptic and the number 5? Look at their previous game, 5 man teams there too. 5 members needed to form a supergroup. 5... 5...freakin' 5.... Cryptic, what is your deal with the number 5?

I wouldn't expect anything else, but I will push the issue. The only requirement for the Holo Tribble is that a copy of the game is purchased. They can check my account and see that I have 2 retail keys attached to it.

No, it would have to be two separate accounts. Not two copies on one account.

A game purchase is a game purchase, and that's all the Holo Tribble requires. The rewards that require a 2nd sub, well, I'll never get those.

Based on other specialty tribbles, I'm guessing this tribble will give a damage bonus vs. Holographic Bridge Officers. :D

Read the information on the REFERRAL program page. Notice the Referral part? That means another account being created by "friends or family" as it's quoted there. Now if you made a second account for yourself, that would work as a referral if you want to pay for a second. I actually did that in CoX but then let a family member take over the second account and pay the monthly and any other costs on it. I just asked one character on the account remain that I made before that.

I never seen a referral program work the way you want it to because you bought multiple copies attached to the same account.
