Is it just me or did they improve the music a lot in STO? Maybe it's just because I had it off for a long time and turned it back on recently but there seems to be a wider selection of better music than I remember.

The music does seem better but I have no idea if that's due to the game adding tracks.
I use ambient, instrumental tracks via my media player.
For example, Nine Inch Nails' "Ghosts I-IV" is great soundtrack music - everything from agressive to soft, melancholy tunes.
Hmm haven't noticed, although I do wish they would add more varying kinds of ambient music. It seems like a lot of it is combat oriented. I'd like to listen to something relaxing from time to time.
Actually, I've been playing with my TOS music CDs in, lately.
As good as the music is in the game, you haven't experienced ground combat properly until you fight to Kirk's traditional battle music from Amok Time or the Doomsday Machine.

It's unbelieveably AWESOME.
