Just a small suggestion for more immersion. When on an away mission, maybe our BOs can look around and maybe take a few steps in a certain direction as if they are curious or trying to look at something. Nothing too crazy like they walk to the other end of the map, just within a small radius of your position instead of them just standing there. When you move they'll follow like always, and when you beam out they'll get into formation.
I agree wtih this. In fact, I've often wondered why I can't have my crew do the scanning and interacting. I mean, why am I scanning that plant when my Science Officer is standing rght there twiddling his thumbs?
Would be nice to be able to give search orders to ones away team such as "fan out".
And then the redshirt goes off and gets killed and we all meet back and wonder where ensign x went.
yeah id like my BOs to be a bit more independant when exploring or on ground missions.
Agree with this, completely, especially on those missions where the only goal is to scan four computers, with no other opposition on the map. Have a /fanout command so the away team can disperse and scan the objectives. Or, to keep the core action with the player, the away team could fan out and scan anomalies while the player scans objectives.
I'd love to see my science officer occasionally kneel down and scan an exotic plant with his tricorder, or have my tactical officer simply say "Be careful, Sir". It's little attention to detail items like that that make for great atmosphere for me.

Thanks for the laugh!
