It me or did my weapons just stop firing?

Yesterday a fleet mate was commenting that during a fight he eventually was only able to fire one weapon, Obviously I had no idea what he was talking about UNTIL it affected me

Playing around on Elite difficulty flying around in an assault cruiser. Map System Upislon 609-X in the B'tran
At first I noticed for some reason my autofiring weapons constantly kept stopping their auto attack. So I bash the spacebar a few times to reinitate the sequence. moments later I noticed my front firing beam arrays were dimmed like they were constantly firing but not. I assumed this was a graphics glitch, thats until I noticed this fight was taking much longer than it should. Taking a closer look at the fight, I noticed my front two beam arrays simply were not firing at all...

Now I've no idea what has caused this, or indeed how to replicate this matter to even write a bug report on this one.

As an aside I am getting increasingly concerned about the sheer number of game breaking bugs are coming out now.

Hey, that sounds like the time when my own ship became completely incapable of firing at all.

Yeah...I think you're going to have to expect that and more the longer you play.

The more you play the more bugs you will start to notice.

I'm having the same trouble as OP while in Advanced and I'm NOT pleased.

My partner is also a Engineer and we custom build our BOs to complement each other as partners in fights, both in space and on the ground, and when we are in a pitched space fight with a horde of damn ships and EVERYTHING in the front of my ship goes out leaving her to fend for herself, it's well...****ing me right the hell off.

You were eager enough to patch the PVP TRIBBLE Cryptic, patch this while you're at it. Or is the inability to fire in a space battle and likelyhood of injuries as a result inconsequential beside PVP issues?

Noticed this today in both PvE and PvP. Zero debuffs on me yet no ability could be used :(

The Bug is there since open beta. I don't recall how often I opened a ticekt for it. Nothing happened to the better.

Man, I had this bug hit me once....no movement, no beams, only thing I could do was fire torpedos. Watching the NPC cruiser slowly build back up and wear me down....ugh. I ended up going for a cup of coffee, it was taking him that long to kill me.

This is my top bug right here, needs to be fixed ASAP.

It is my top bug also. I have dealt with it a few times in live, though I did not encounter it in CB or OB. I hope this is Cryptic's top bug as well. If it gets worse, meaning more frequent occurrences, it would end up being a complete show stopper for the game as a whole.

I would like one of the Devs to chime in on this, please.

I noticed this and put in a bug report at least a month ago.... At the time, everyone acted like I was giving excuses for loosing.
I'm glad for the vindication, but sorry someone else is having to deal with this frustrating issue too.
Unfortunately, The only way (I have discovered), to correct this is to exit the mission and go back to it, then your weapons will reset.

I have seen this bug and I am guessing it is caused with the new link system. As when I am firing weapons without the link this dose not happen. I noticed it with Beam overload more than any other time. But if you leave the instance and come back in, it seems to be fixed. Very strange bug.

This is one of SO MANY bugs .. I don't enjoy the game any more.

No Guns .. happens to me via Kar'rat more than any place else. Unlike you guys.. I can leave the map come back in .. and still not have guns. Torps work, other functions works .. but no beam weapons.

Looks like a fix is in the pipeline:

We are testing a fix internally and will release it once we've confirmed it addresses the issue.

btw... this is one of the oldest (and most difficult) bugs in the game. It has existed since pre-beta in one way or another and is not an "easy" fix.
