STF raids vs. Episodic content

SystemSystem Member, NoReporting Posts: 178,019 Arc User
STF raids do not appeal to the solo players. Episodic content does.

Simple Question to answer.

Do you want more STF raids or more Episodic content?

I'm curious to see the results.

The only problem with TFs is that you are at the mercy of a pug, even if you are in a fleet. Sometimes they just plain don't want to do that particular STF, and that's their perogative.
Missions, however, require less group effort, and more of a leisurely pace.

But, this has been my own experience with them, your mileage may vary.

We need a middle objective. PVE missions are so hopelessly boring no one cares about them, and so far STFs seem to be available only to raiders in big guilds. We need something like the "dungeon" system in WoW where people who want to group up for a challenge that takes more effort than solo PVE but it isn't as insanely insular as STFs can have something to do.

The mission content can definitely be enjoyed at a leisurly pace. I suppose this is what I want more than trying to schedule my time to fit whenever other peope want to pay a specific STF.

what we need is some lower STF in the 20s 30s for players to warm up...the hole game is solo till you reach the end game then thay throw you into a zerg fest STF.....

I want Episodic content that appeals to both soloists and groups. I want group-only content that is PuG friendly. However, most of all, I've come to the conclusion that I want the toolset(s) for creating our own User-Generated-Content, so that we can entertain ourselves while Cryptic can focus on making everything we want. :)

Your right that most of the game can be done solo, maybe i'm griping over nothing then. However, We've heard what they will be doing up to July.. and everything is great, except I have not heard about new episodic content. Ive heard about memory alpha, STF raids, ship interiors, new star clusters, etc..... they even want to know what new playable faction we want. However, Klingons are severly lacking in episodic content so I just wonder what else they would do with a new playable factions like Romulans? If there aren't that many developers... ive heard that we have 7 content developers...... then i'm worried. The devs seem to be trying to add everything but the kitchen sink.. and missing episodic content!
