actually YES. I was in Sol station and I thought that my anti-aliasing setting had reset or something, but no, it was still on x8, but it looks as if it's on x2 or x4, much more jaggy than it should be. suprised someone else noticed this too, I thought I was just imagining things.
I can't say I noticed any jagged graphics but ground missions for me are now stuttering and lagging badly (including simply walking around a starbase). This began after installing the 1.1 patch
I didn't notice any AA degradation, but I did notice that weapons impacts on my shields seem to have an increased effect. I'm not talking about the aura of your shield glowing as it's hit (I love that), that actually seems to have become less obvious, but i'm talking about the "sparks" and "ripples" that appear. They seem to be more in your face than before.
I have the same problem. Plus it seems as if the frame rate has dipped a bit also. Before I had no frame rate issues at all. Now I do. Anyone else having frame rate issues after this patch?
Only graphics change I have noticed, when I scan an object in my ship the beam comes out at a ninety degree angle instead of straight at the object, just a little annoying as it doesnt look realistic, will put a bug report in hen Im back home

yeah, you'll kind of get that unless you are facing the object. It's the whole point of having a directional scanner.
Oh man, I thought it was just me...
I spent 2 hours yesterday tweaking STO options and video display properties and combinations thereof.
At first it was both AA dumb down and performance. I was getting visual lag.
I got both back to pre-update levels, but the AA is slightly off.
Stuttering, lag and decreased frame rates are confirmed as a result of the patch. (No changes have been made to my system or setup, and my video card and drivers are perfectly fine.)
Unfortunately, I've seen this before... in Champions Online. With each successive CO patch, the graphics slowdowns slowly built up, never to improve.
I've been a staunch supporter of Cryptic and a patient defender of STO through and through, but this has put enough of a damper on my fun to make me consider dropping. (It certainly made me leave CO in time, with great disappointment.)
I'll give it a couple more weeks, hoping that it's fixed. Otherwise, I'll be joining the rest of the losers in the rage quit club, and I'll likely not be seeing Cryptic again.

confirmed by who? You. What's your setup and data delivery?
I'm no Cryptic fan but apart from a poor response just after patch time neither display or response has suffered.
game looks no different on my systems with 2x9800GTX 2x295GTX and HD 4970
( lowest cpu 5200 X2+, highest Phenom II X6 Black edition.
no lag, no frame rate loss across both platforms.
Perhaps it is system specific on low end systems?
Yes, confirmed by me in answer to others wondering if it was just their systems or their imaginations. So, to the OP:
Q: "Did the graphics get worse with Season 1.1?"
A: "Yes, for some of us, apparently."
My setup isn't low end, but even if it had been, a patch shouldn't ruin performance that was previously unmarred on the same unmodified system. Thus, it is highly unlikely that it's a sudden lack of hardware, or something any of us did to our systems, but rather something that was overlooked in the patch code.
For a game that I've been desperately trying to enjoy despite its flaws, it simply tipped the perception of my play experience in a negative direction, towards an unfavorable majority opinion. (And for that unsolicited editorial, I apologize.)
I'm very glad you weren't affected. However, disbelief of others' issues does not negate their existence, and it certainly isn't dissuading dissatisfaction.

Edit: ATI HD4870 1GB, 10.4 Catalyst drivers
Hopefully some others will report in on this and we can figure out if its a tech problem or what.

Wanna post some high res screenshots to compare?
You have to remember that STO models are pretty low poly ( with regard to what is possible ) to begin with so they are never going to look that great.

Not the directional scan, the scan when you hit the f key :facepalm
He's actually talking about a known issue. The scanning beams are pointing to the direct middle of the map, instead of towards what you're scanning.
He means the light that comes out when you "pick up" the "item" *triple facepalm*
you are just making stuff up now :facepunch:
why so serioussssssss?
