The Captain's Table is a useless ghost town as it is, so why get so riled up about it? The veteran rewards are a good move for Cryptic AND a good move for lifetimers. What good will our lifetime subs be if we have no one to play with? So long as lifetimers get the veteran rewards too, they're 100% fine as far as I'm concerned.

Umm, no? I am not complaining, in fact I support the Vet rewards, it would be facepalm moment if people actually tried to make a petition against this. The captains table should be open to all LONG TERM SUBSCRIBERS. And I for one look forward to seeing the people that reach valiant status arrive at the captains table and tell their stories to the rest of us long term star captains.

I turned myself blue just to post here and disagree with you.

If giving away lifetime benefits to other players who have invested considerable time in the game will draw more people in Star Trek Online - the better.

Seriously, I never expected to receive a Captain's Table. Only a weird sense of entitlement would make you angry that other players receive it after 400 subscribed days.

    So, you "blue" yourself?

    What Naevius said.

I don't care. 400 days = over a year's subscription. If someone has stayed with the game that long, let 'em get access to the Captain's Table.

Also, your mention of deploying personal shields in protest moved me from ambivalence to active antipathy. The dicks who do that in Sol deserve to be shot.

If it did really upset the lifers, it might be an incentive to stick around after the remainder of my monthly ends in 10 days.

Wow, you're really going to get upset about people getting access to the Captain's table after they have invested as much money into the game as you did? It's not like that many people actually use the captain's table anyways. Lay off the selfish streak, would ya.

As a Lifer, I really have no problem opening up the Captain's Table or any other nifty perks I've received to everyone. If it would make those others happy and have them playing the game longer, more power to them! :)

When they introduced the captain's table I wondered what it was like, what was this amazing place I couldn't go to. So, just to see what the fuss was about I bought a lifetime sub. I went there, had a look around, thought how nice it looked, noticed no one else there, and left. Each time i go there it's virtually empty. How is being able to access an area that is empty most of the time a perk?
Let everyone else go there asap I say.

In conclusion, LIFERS may only sign this petition to stop this. I'd like to see every lifer on record to sign this petition and remove the "captains chair" reward from the 400 day mark. IT IS OURS.. NOT THEIRS..

so you speak for all lifers?

    and its cryptic's not yours

I'm a lifer, I do not support the statements of the OP here. I think that the rewards laid out are quite fair, Good job Cryptic!

To be honest, the complete lack of gold spamming in zone chat vs. Sol is kind of a perk...

He also happens to be correct. It isn't "yours" or "ours". Cryptic owns it and allows us access to it via our paid subscriptions.

Might want to brush up on the Terms of Service and EULA again...

Seriously. Subscriber for OVER A YEAR to get access to the Captain's Table for non-lifers. I think we can safely say the other folks deserve to be there if they've been around that long.

I, as a lifer, don't care that they get access to it after being a long term customer.

Yeah as a lifer I can't say I share this sentiment. I mean I get it, but I just can't see why it's a big deal to let others use it. You're a lifer, the money your spend equates to 18 months of pre-paid subscription payment, after that this game is free to play for the life of the game. All you have to do is buy expansions when those start coming out if you choose to. That to me IS the perk of being a lifer and was why I took the risk of paying $250.00 + $50.00 (for the game) before really seeing what it was going to be all about.

I agree with the above statements, putting in 400 paid days is enough for access to the Captain's Table. That's a big /unsigned to the OP.

I too went blue just to disagree with the theme being supported here. If someone who has been on this game for a substantial amount of time doesn't get rewarded for that; then it'd be unfair since us lifers have been rewarded already. I'm a post-launch lifer, so I didn't get all the goodies those pre-launch lifers for; and quite frankly, I don't care either. But when you start a reward system, it should be fair... the fairness I do care about.

Tired of seeing these selfish people behaving like little spoiled brats about *their* so-called 'exclusives'. You seriously need to just grow up.

This lifer disagrees with the op. Star Trek is about inclusion, sharing, peace, etc.

While I agree the op has the right to express his/her views I want to say I don't feel the same way.

Star Trek is all about people working together and not about segregation so lets not start separating the lifers and non lifers please, i really hope that this is cryptic's way of bringing lifers and non lifers closer together and if so i give it a big thumbs up

In essence to what i've been saying.. a mmo ruins the exclusive perks by giving pre-order stuff and life-time subscriber benefeits to others, making them common and hence losing the special qualities it had before.

I suggest that if cryptic want sot appease us lifers for this outrage, the come up with a powerfull weapon or ship weapon or something JUST for us, so we can have something that will NEVER... NEVER.. be given to everyone.. Thats what I want, thats what was given to us as lifetime perks.. now they destroy the special feeling of it just to gain more profit.

It wouldn't bother me if they offered lifetime sub again for sale and people bought it and accessed The captains chair. However, ii've been here since pre-beta and put up with alot. but this is the straw that broke the camels back. I know many who are IRKED about this "benefeit". I have nothing against regular users. not at all. but I want a perk that is given to us lifers only and no one else. so we are speciall. Seems now a days, people market special perks only to give them away later.

I am not on caffiene, but I am loyal to this game and this action of theirs as proven their disloyalty to us lifetime subscribers. Maybe their precious advisory counsel can suck on this.

    I say share it all.

Hey, give away the preorder exclusives as vet rewards. Put them in the c-store.

    Whatever. I will not complain.

It is, after all, a game.

That's the thing. Lifers already have something unique that no one can have. Liberated Borg. The Captain's table should be opened up to non-lifers once they have paid as much into the system as the lifers did, which is exactly what the rewards system is doing.
