I would consider it was a deliberate decision. What's the point of a penalty if you can immediately remove it without leaving your location?
Ironically you can carry all your repair with you and do the same and I kind of understand this, but I still think that also negates the injury system ( taken straight out of Dragon Age, well done ) as a viable penalty system.
Just curious if this was a deliberate design decision, or just something not thought of. If deliberate, what is the reasoning?
Then there would be no reason to go back to space dock. Its not just a money sink for injuries, but also a time sink. Eventually you will have to go back to starbase(unless on normal) to fix/get more supplys.

You just defeated your own argument against replicators, so thanks

I'm not for or against it. I'm against the death penalty. Too little too late.
I have no objection to them being in the replicator. I'm just offering conversation as to why it may be a deliberate, if ill-thought out decision.
I certainly don't have an argument on any side of it.
All I hope is that the critical components and whatever else high-end units are needed for repair are not available as anything other than drops so that those not using them can milk the elitists on the exchange.

How is asking for A dp elitist I am far from eliteist but the DP was needed and so is the dificulty slider Now I can actualy use my brain and think of strategy instead of just point and shoot like it was before. Anything that makes yo think and involves you using more than 2 buttons is a good thing not a bad thing.

I did not say that asking for a DP made anyone elitist.
The DP is useless except to the individual who wants to make dull, frustrating missions last longer and become more difficult. It appears that here is no greater reward for this despite the promises.
It also means that the already fractious community becomes more so. You can't have a player on elite in the same fleet action as a player on normal.
The enemies need to be spawned at the difficulty rating of the player. Mixed difficulty means that there is no way these players can be in the same area for PVP, DSE or FA. You want to be on elite on a fleet action with me to find you have to leave for repairs and I stay and take the loot? ( it's hypothetical, to underline the problem ).
If I can't call players playing on elite, elitists then I apologise. I wasted my education.

Difficulty slider has no impact whatsoever on PvP. DSE/FA yes, as far as I know anyway, but there is no impact on PvP.

Doesnt bother me personally.
