the lifetime member exclusive Captain's Table Club is coming to folks a little sooner than I expected. I was hoping ti would come to folks after they had spent nearly $300 or played nearly two years at least, not just around 13 months or $200 dollars on the game, but I guess not.

Oh well, us lifers even said we would not mind others getting it eventually, but any chance you would be willing to go with my request from a while back to give lifers 1200($15 worth) of Cryptic Points? Pretty please.

I know it has already been explained to me that lifers did get their free 30 days too, by having the option to cancel with a full refund, but for those that missed out on that, care to throw us a bone? :-D
Anyway, great work Cryptic and thanks for continuning to keep up the faith!

Good show Cryptic!
And about those "vanity ships"???

They need to distract people from all the broken missions and content that's why.
First, I don't recall the lifetime bonus (after purchse bonus I might add) ever said "exclusive". Link Please!
Secondly, since the bonus came after purchase, there is no monetary value set on it....It was given freely, and you have no claim to excusivity to it.
I'm not talking about anyone who's posted in this thread, thus far or anyone in particular, just generalizing.
I was just asking in the event Cryptic was paying attention and was feeling generous to us lifers in 400 days.
The spam of the chat channels in the Captain's Table mention in the other thread that talked about the email from this morning is one thing I did not even think about, but here's hoping that "lifetimer private channel" will be auto-enabled at default or can be easily turned on to tune out the noise if the Captain's Table area gets too crowded.
But does it really matter?
If you never ask for a bailout out will never receive a bailout.
That's just basic banking economics we are living by.
Enjoy the feeling guys now you know how it feels to be slapped in the face, thrown under a bus and erm all from day one of getting the news that the captains table will be given out as a vet reward.
Piffle.......it don't taste so good does it?
Meh......knock yaselves out complaining because I recall us non lifers got little sympathy from you guys.
Thats assuming the veteran perks are availalble to lifetimers which hasnt been confirmed yet. If this isnt the case then you have an argument because then the issue becomes why do they get our reward when we dont get theres type of thing.
Plus its a year of continous subs before they get access which does prove that they are long term players.
To Bruceblo. People have a sense of entitlement because they paid however much for a lifetime sub that other people didnt pay. They are entitled to bonuses and even Cryptic agrees with that hence the existence of the captains table in the first place. Its not as if the OP is asking for anything stupid.
I laughed at this. I've visited the captain's table ONCE and I'm a lifer. I don't go to it because there is nothing to do there. I only saw one other person there while I visited... and I think this was on a saturday night
The way i see it you paid an extra hundred bucks to be able to use it 13 months before me . oh and never pay any subscription again.
Your going to get the rewards. i said it in the other thread this is exacly like CoH vet rewards. if you have an active subscription you get them. that means if i pay my monthly dues i accrue time towards the rewards.
Since your Subscription will ALWAYS be active you will accrue them even if you quit playing for like 3 years and then come back. that is the nice thing about the lifetime subscription you can go play something else till the game gets better and accrue your rewards with out having to pay the monthly fee like i do.
So you lifers quit Whining or at least provide us some bread and cheeze with it.
Once again Cryptic - thanks
geez - just geez.....
Thank you for the clarification. Im fine with it then. As I said in my previous post, its a good trade.
Statements like this are just aggressive. You made your point quite well without resorting to this flamebait.
Why wouldn't they? It's based on length of time your account has been active. It would probably take more work to exclude them.
This looks like a pretty decent set of vet rewards. Lifers just get the captain table right away instead of waiting for 13 months. I don't see what the problem is.
Of course it will be tweaked a little here and there, but all in all, it looks pretty nice. Maybe add some more in the way of rewards. Do not be too miserly with the rewards and feel free to add alot more trinkets to the pile. Maybe even some Cryptic points. Also consider rewarding people for shopping at the C-Store.
As for veteran rewards:
i wish they give some thing better then titles and badges. like sunglasses or a gun hostler, hat or base cap
leather jacket and be able to add our fleet emblem, and other nice thing would be for us to be able to design our our emblem to place on our ships.
and for someone that played game for 400 day(13.3 months) thats equals to about 200.00 buck . that means he payed for the right to go in the captain lounge:)
Cryptic, will lifetimers get these veteran awards as well? Stuff like Career Officer and TCT were nice, but they weren't actual gameplay improvements like some of the veteran rewards (skill points). If both lifetimers and monthly veterans get them, I see a lot of happy and harmonious players in your future.
yes we get them as well.
the vet rewards are based on account standing and length active. there was a post a few back that explained this.
just making sure coz i remember reading that lifers don't get discounts or account subscription promotions, so i thought i'd double check >_>
where did ya read that? linkage?
and i would have to ask your interpretation about your statement.
Your quite right and i apologize. I just get frustrated with all the lifers screaming this or that. or worse the Non lifers doing it.
my problem is i have a lot of the "Exclusive" things and just like when i was in CoH i believe all those things should become available to all the players at some point.
here is an example from Cryptics other game City of Heroes.
when the game first came out if you bought this deluxe edition there was a powerslide power that was given away as an exclusive item. well i was off playing something else at the time. i joined the game about a year into it. 3 years later im still playing. However i (being the alt-aholic i am) had a character concept i wanted to build for RP reasons and wanted powerslide as one of her powers. but you could not get it at all. 4 years after the game started and you still could not get it. No one used it anymore you never saw it being used.
So i would have been willing to pay 5 bucks to get it just to mess around with it. But there was no way to do that in CoH at least when i left. I feel there should have been away to acquire that power. a quest, or cryptic points or vet rewards or something.
i feel the same about all the "Exclusive" stuff in here. at some point it should become available to everyone in some fashion.
but every time this comes up there is some person with a blue name (or someone who purchased a deluxe edition) screaming what about "my exclusive item". at some point the borg bridge officer is going to become a powerslide. no one will be using them anymore. you wont see them very often if at all. and everyone else should be able to acquire one if for nothing more than RP purposes.
I think a year or a tad more is a good time frame for that kind of thing. it gives the people who got them "Exclusive" time to enjoy being the first kid on the block with the new toy but also allows the rest of the player base to still get the time when it could still make a contribution to their gaming enjoyment.
As for my poor taste in that other statement i Apologize again and hope you will please accept it as sincerely as it is given
