After ReTrain the next step can be ReTrait, more expensive than retrain.

What do you think about?

That is what Alts are for.

    Yes! Oh god, YES PLEASE!

I'd pay 5000 cryptic points for this!! :D

I didn't really know what difference traits would make when I chose them so I just chose anything. The Vulcan nerve grip SUCKS. I'll be damned if I'm going to create a new player with exactly the same spec though, just to improve my traits.

How long does it take to get to RA5? Not worth it IMHO.

Yeah same here. I pretty much picked whatever sounded right when I made my first toon, but it turned out to totally not match my preferences.

Same here. My eng is perfect a bit by chance but my tactical I went techie when I should have chosen warp theorist.

Do a free token all 'for all players regardless of rank' (or possibly 1 per rank) and then pay c points after that. This isn't like respec where your style changes so I'd say 1 free token is enough for everyone. Remade my ensign science officer so he's got the dieal setup - betazoid with astro and creative and my Klingon only did tutorial so if he isn't perfect I can demake.

Are we asking for a "RACE CHANGE"???? I think it should be in the C-Store.. I deleted a RA5 because I had no idea what was what when I started him..

So it seems that every1 has randomly choosed traits, and now they are experienced they need a retrait

on a side note it would be nice if at a rank up you could pick a new trait or improve one you already have

read a dev post somewhere here that retraits can't work, due to something about the game engine

They didn't say it can't work ever. They said it would require reworking the engine somewhat and that if you want this feature, you should ask for it.

Personally, I would like to see it as an option both for C-Points and in-game but, moreover, I would like to see rare traits not available at character creation that you can learn from alien species in exploration content.

Sortof like how Garth of Izar learned Cellular Metamorphosis.

One token when hitting... Commander (and for players that are already above) would do the job. It takes a while to realize you picked the wrong trait, and then a bit to make up your mind what trait you should have taken instead.
