Klingons and auto-fire with ground weapons?

just found this in the recent patch notes from april, 29th ...

"Klingon Faction players can now set ground weapons to auto-fire"

is it what i think?

as klingon i can set my primary fire (key 1) for ground battles to auto-fire
as federation i have to press this key every 2 seconds
?

why just klingons? can anyone explain this?

    do klingons have any other disadvantages in ground combat why they are allowed to set ther ground weapon to auto-fire?

    Federation have autofire on the ground already. It was not working on the Klingon side so it needed to be fixed.

    really? how can i activate it? right-click on the action bar (like in space) does not work :confused:

    I did not have to do anything special to make it work. I would check under Options->Controls that you have autofire enabled (as long as it is not set to none).

    toggle change doesn't cancel

    toggle change cancels

    what the hell do these mean?

    so far i click the attacker like of old then push a keyboard button and then have to push another key board button to attack a new foe

    (space)

    These options refer to the behaviour of your autofire when you swap targets. The Cancel refers to whether changing targets will cancel (stop) autofire.

    toggle, never cancels - if you have commenced autofiring and you swap targets, your Captain will continue to fire at the new target.

    toggle, change cancels - if you have commenced autofiring and you swap targets, your Captain will not autofire at the new target until you press the fire button again.

    I haven't used Maintain yet I'll have to give it a try

    i saw maintain as well

    probably lots of stuff i have not figured out right still

    and i have been at it for awhile.
