1. Needs Of The Many -- After several attempts, I found a planet (in the correct sector) that needed aid (provisions). Gave them 10, got the new style reward and some points, but the mission did not update.
2. Mission Item Rewards -- Now, for example, instead of a reward weapon saying 21 dps, it says 18,925...how am I supposed to translate these numbers? Once accepted and viewed from inventory, it shows 21 dps.
Other than the above, I like the new additions...though I saw no change in PvP.
My biggest problem has been losing one phaser array. The only way to get it working is to abort to sector and restart the mission. I really like the rest of the changes. I think this patch is the best one yet.
The absolute LACK of dueling for the Klingons at least. I have asked, and asked, oh and asked again, since like around beta. Where is the dueling, I mean picture two Klingons dueling in the High Council Chambers with batleths!!!??? Cryptic pounded us to DEATH with the PvP and lack of everything else, why no dueling???
It's not like we have a death penalty.
There is quite a few things wrong with this patch... Devs are you even following the bug reports on tribble? Played today at Elite Diff. My injured screen on the ground wouldn't close and my teammate was not getting any injuries. Apparently coming on my missions he can collect the reward but not the injuries how messed up is that. Apparently if the individual player doesn't have the diff set he is free and clear. Yet he can get the rewards. Which this member was a fleetie and he gave up without injury before me.
I am going to praise Cryptic for trying but what TRIBBLE monkeys do you have for QA? I want to know who these people are and help them enter unemployment. I can't believe that they would release a patch like this.
These same problems showed up on tribble. No one listened to the bug reports... So what are we to believe when you release substandard goods?
I want to take a moment to praise Cryptic devs for giving a college try. Zinc, Jack I want to tell you that your epic fail quality is with your QA deptartment. You want to relieve some criticism then fire these idiots you have for QA. I have cruised over these forums many a time and heard fix what you already have. With your current QA department that will be an impossibility.
The current bug reporting system sucks beyond belief. I submit a ticket in the 800k range, and when I have a hard crash I get one in the 10 mil range. I get even more upset with a forum response letter that says an MMO is a big game... So you guys tell me what to think?
I wanted to praise Cryptic today for such a great release, but I can't now. Sorry guys fire the QA staff and if you are relying on tribble then you just got hosed. Start acting like a business with some sense.
Exchanging Marks for purple ship weapons...duh the personal weapons come up...have you guys heard of quality control???
Also, Feds get major buffs with tribbles...how about battle targs for Klingons!!!???.. oh wait we are the monster play my bad:mad:
I completed 'Needs of the Many' yesterday evening with my Lt. character. This mission can also be run in parallel with the 'Explore the Delta Volanis Cluster' missions, so you can get credit for all of those missions you complete that are not 'Aid the Planet'...
Did you attempt this in Delta Volanis or some other Star Cluster? I believe it only applies to Delta Volanis.
It also happens in the B'Tran Cluster. I try to complete the mission (delivery) and it's doesn't take. When the mission dialog window comes up again, I try to deliver again, and the mission completed on the second attempted. Got the reward "grab bag" item. It happened two of my characters while doing their dallies.
Has anyone been able to complete "Needs of the many"?
I've been in Delta Volanis for probably 5+ hours since the patch and haven't gotten a single Aid the planet mission yet. No missions left in my journal, I made sure all possible ones leftover were dropped. Still nada, i know its a rare one but jeez.......
I'm gonna crash the server with how many I've entered and exited just trying to find these, in and out in and out. Starting to go a bit mad here at this point, don't mind me

I have completed 3 aid the planet missions in Delta Volanis and not completed 'Needs of the Many'
However none of them were aid the planet missions for shield generators. Which i think is the trigger.
Was it not you that said aid quests obtained from quest givers in stations would trigger the 'continue aid suchabody' quest when we entered the sector? Because as it is now we have a small chance of fining an aid quest and then a further small chance of it being for the type of commodity that satisfies the 'needs of the many' quest.

Nope... I complete an 'Aid the Planet' mission while running both 'Needs of the Many' and 'Explore the Delta Volanis Cluster' missions in parallel, and complete both... The 'Aid the Planet' mission asked for and received 'Provisions'...

Then I have no idea what. I have completed the aid the planet missions as seems to be described in the 'needs of the many' but it remains in my quest log. Stinking up the place like a month old smoked haddock.
I have that same problem as well. Got an Aid misison, got the reward, and yet the mission is still there!
So its an obvious bug where the mission isn't completable.
BTW Cryptic, it helps if there was a static location with "Needs of the Many" than us spending hours upon hours of playing Russian Roulette in hopes of getting an Aid Mission.
I went into about 20 different systems in Delta Volanis to try and get a Relief Aid mission. Never found one. I may try again later, but the rate for getting relief aid missions needs to go up.

They're quite expensive (if you replicate the parts) and the loot drops are great (I received a green console my first time, for example).

I buy in bulk and carry them in my inventory as I have since launch. I may use the replicator to replenish my stocks now. That is if I ever find a relief aid mission, post-patch.

Yes.
In fact I did 2. After that I dropped it and went on to more productive things.
