So are you guaranteeing it's now impossible to get sucked into a match with 0 enemies? That has happened to me more than a few times, and the only recourse is to exit the map.Abort Mission and Beam to Ship buttons are now disabled on all PvP maps in anticipation of a quitting penalty for PvP

Sorry, had a flashback to a 1980's computer game.
Until they actually fix how the Q's work, this will ad yet another layer of frustration on a PvP system thats not doing very well at the moment.....sigh......
You *should* only get into new games that have the minimum number of players on each side. You won't be joining some match that hasn't had an enemy it it for an hour or 2.
I'm not sure if it will actually work out or not, only time will tell.
that may be true at RA level but in LtC and Com ranks I regularly am either on the low side or on a 5 man team and there is 1 guy on the otherside. Other times Ive been in matches with either just me or just my team and no opposition......
So in those cases how should we handle it? file a Bug report? Call a GM? have a campfire and tell stories for an hour? This is a really bad Idea......cant believe it went live like this.

That's odd. I've been going through the lower ranks on my Klingon and I haven't had any problems with one team being smaller than the other except when someone quits. If you loo on the queue window, there is a section that says minimum, which is the minimum needed on each team to start the match. Since players can't quit now, the tech should make sure that both teams have the minimum before starting, and should keep them from quitting, which should hold fairly even teams throughout the entire match. Are you playing a Fed? If so, you may think there are no enemies, but they may be outnumbered, cloaked, and waiting for more teammates.
And yes I can tell who's on the map, cloaked or not, and know when there are zero enemies.

I just think Cryptic doesn't have a clue what the hell they are doing and this TRIBBLE up to where we were all stuck is just proof. Cryptic is running off other players with there complete arrogance and I can't wait until people stop buying there **** and they go under or fix the dam thing.

very small base, and adding/building bigger blocks on top of smaller ones. Its gonna fall like a house of cards. Instead of making pvp harder to do and less user friendly, maybe make smaller Vs. groups and

my guess is theres a covert TOR agent working on the inside, mussing things up and what not.
O and ya in a 3v5 match one fed got stuck in a wall in the same spot I have sene others get stuck in, he can't die, we can't shoot him and now its a 2v5 game because of a rather old glitch
I am a programer myself, and I know untested software when I see it, and I sees it here. ?? cryptic, I know friends who worked as game testers for video game companeys, they sit there all day long playing the game looking for issues, bug and such, do you employ any people like this. Theyh are cheep, can be university stuentsidea looking for experence. And who knows some of those students may have some skill, somthing you guys relay seem to need as right now I am just not seeing it.
Don't get m wrong, I want this game to be fun, enjoyable and expand but at this point I am afraid I bought a lifetime for a short life game. Please o please prove me wrong,
I do not have the stomach to rez myself 40 times consecutively just to be able to join something else and have it all happen again. Remove this change immediately, or you will lose customers.
There are other reasons to leave a map:
If you get the bug that you have respawned as a member of the opposing team (which cannot be fixed by relogging most of the time), you cannot leave the map to allow a fifth person to take your spot, you condemn the entire team to a loss, that is unfair.
If you get leachers (a tremendous problem in every single space and ground pvp map for STO), i.e. someone who joins, dies, and never respawns because they have decided to tab our or go eat dinner and collect a daily in the process, this change prevents other members of the leacher's team from leaving and trying again. Again, you condemn the entire team to a loss.
Finishing a map is meaningless, only winning matters to serious players. This change may ensure that a game will end eventually, but it flies in the face of anybody looking for fair matches, which are already few and far between in this game.
Change it.
Leveling my alt Lieutenant, my team has the advantage (4 vs 2) and we're dominating. First Klink left, other one stuck around for a little while. Score is 11 to 0. Second Klink left, we now have 0 enemies in the match. Wait around a bit but of course no one else joins; only way to end the match is to quit the game.
