Hi Sir,

I baught the normal edition first, and later I baught the Collectors Edition and simply added the key.
Is this enough to enjoy My Collectors Edition to the fullest, or must I first reinstall the game with the Collectors Edition CD ?

Thx in advance for your answer !

Adding the key is all you need to do. There is no content in the CE that would require you to reinstall the game.

As Enzo said. Redeeming the key will bring you any extra benefits that the Collector's edition affords. You have already done this so nothing else is needed. You may find that in order to use some of your new items they need to be redeemed in the c-store.

Just adding the CE key to your existing account and then claiming your free items from the C-Store is all you should need to do.

However, you are in a unique position to answer a question that was nagging me around launch time, which I never found an answer for. If you can take a moment to answer it, I'll consider you my personal hero for the week. :)

It came to my attention that there is a difference between the manual included in the normal game and the one included in the collector's edition. Namely, the CE manual appears to be missing information in the manual that is available in the normal edition. That surprised me, considering the CE costs more. I have the collector's edition myself, but since you have both you have the ability to do a side-by-side comparison of the two manuals.

From what I understand the normal manual is laid out as such:

    1-2 - sys req / install
    3-13 "meat of the book"
    14 tech support
    15-18 license
    19-20 notes (blank pages)

However, the CE manual breakdown is:

1-2: table of Contents, system requirements, installation, launching the game
    3-10: "meat of the book"
    10-11: trouble shooting, tech support
    12-14 license agreement
    15: blank page
    16-17: notes (blank pages)

In more detail (this section of the CE manual seems to have three less pages than the standard edition manual), the "meat of the book" is:

3: Creating Your Captain, Advancing in Rank
4: Skill-based Gameplay, Acquiring New Ships, Bridge Officers
5: Bridge Officer Skills, General Gameplay, Space Gameplay, Ships
6: (Ships continued), Ship Categories (Escort, Science)
7: (Ship Categories, Escort continued, Cruiser), Flying Your Ship, Shields and Hull
8: (Shields and Hull continued), Weapons, Bridge Officers in Space, Consoles
9: (Consoles continued), Away Team Gameplay, Ground Movement, Weapons and Equipment
    10: Away Team

So, that begs the question: what is the breakdown of pages 3-13 on the normal edition manual?
