Lol, playing w/o shields doesn't so much prove you guys can play as much as proves that so many players are REALLY BAD.

I know you guys have skills, but those puggers were terribad.

But ntl. what you wrote down is completely true! And your advantage is to live in the USA where the most of the premades are... and at least a chance for a challenge.

A post that celebrates a Fed fleet while calling the vast majority of Feds scrubs.

I think Rev called both sides scrubs... - didn't see a singled out faction being labeled scrub.

But then again maybe I didn't read it cause I was pugging and have teary eyes.

Once again Akumarev declaring that anybody who enjoys pugging is wasting their time.

Sorry man, but different people like different things.

You are just going to have to deal with that fact.

    Still doesn't impress me.

Oh my bad... a post that celebrates one fleet and calls everyone else a scrub.

    Keep it classy DOB!

Its rare to find a post that has a valid message only to have it delivered in such a condescending manner. I've watched your PVP vids and found them to be a wonderful source of information, but these types of posts only detract from any respect you may have previously earned.

I don't think you called enough people "scrubs". The 1990s called; they want their smack talk back.

I had a whole wall of text full of very important points and counter points but when I hit submit it was rejected. Seems that my posts character limit was reduced to make room for all the ego in this thread. This is all I...

I am not even going to call these guys Elites any more. They don't have the attitude of champions. They just TRY to cut down everybody to lift up their ego's. They are not even worth people's time.

    Just do what I do.

At the beginning of a PvP match, type "/who" and if you see one of these groups of mouth breathers are in the match. Then just fly off the map, or leave,.. or camp the base. Don't even give them the satisfaction of gang banging you.

Just meet their smack talk and insults with the sound space is known best for.

    Silence.

what makes DOB so good? from an outside point of view
    1. They are coordinated with voice communications (because typing during pvp = death)
    2. They use builds made for pvp (read: no cruisers with 5 rsp copies)
    3. They work as a team
    4. They are each skilled individuals

that's what I've noticed, thats why I respect them. Sure the smack talk gets a little harsh, but in all honesty if people had stopped getting ****y at them for playing to win a long time ago it would not have come to this.

    Uhm, no.

You misunderstand, I like them better because they **** off whiners like you. Everything the OP says is right, I just find it funny how Rev cannot help but insult everyone while trying to give them useful information.

All of the positives you mentioned are completely countered by their attitude. It is the same attitude that is perpetuated by every person stuck at a high school mentality.

Cancer is very good at beating most cells in the human body as well.

Cancer would consider itself elite.. but it still kills the host in the end.

I see a cancer. That is not something I strive to be.

I am not whining. I am just not participating. There is a difference.

I don't participate in a gang bang. I am not complaining. That was why I said "silence"

They don't want a premade and a pug que, so they can have easy wins....

Then let them just win and we can move on to the next match and have some fun.

in all honesty, did you ever know DOB before they got a bad reputation for winning? people smack talked them about 5 times as much as they smack talked. They got banned from the organizedpvp channel for asking for a game in a bad tone.

DOB would not be so nearly as bad it it wasnt for the fact that people like you insult everything they do. If you insult them, they will insult you. If you make friends with them, you just made a very valuable ally.

I find all this smack talk against them pretty funny though, because its quite obvious that they don't care what you think about them

Obviously they DO care what we think about them.

Otherwise Akumarev would not post about the size of his Epeen every day.

He is seeking approval from the masses.

    He won't find it.

can someone enlighten those non-native speakers like me what exactly does this imfamous "scrub" means please? Is it more like noob or moron? :P

Without knowing the exact meaning I do think I miss the real flavour of this thread :P

The thing is, knowing how and when the word "scrub" became popularised is pretty embarassing in itself; I'm almost embarassed to admit it myself. But to actually use it as an insult in a non-ironic way is just hilarious. And to use it so frequently, as the "go to" word when you're looking for an insult... Brilliant.

Oh, and just because people insult you doesn't mean it's any less immature to insult them back... I mean, christ, you realise you're just saying "he started it!", don't you?

A scrub is a guy that thinks he's fly and is
    also known as a buster
always talkin' about what he wants
and just sits on his broke TRIBBLE
    so (no)
    I don't want your number
no I don't wanna give you mine
and no I don't wanna meet you nowhere
no I don't want none of your time and no
    Chorus:
    I don't want no scrub
a scrub is a guy that can't get no love from me
    hanging out the passenger side
    of his best friend's ride
    trying to holler at me
    I don't want no scrub
a scrub is a guy that can't get no love from me
    hanging out the passenger side
    of his best friend's ride
    trying to holler at me
    But a scrub's checkin' me
but his game is kinda weak
and i know that he cannot approach me
cuz I'm lookin' like class and he's looking like trash
can't get wit' a deadbeat TRIBBLE
    So (no)
    I don't want your number
no I don't wanna give you mine
and no I don't wanna meet you nowhere
no I don't want none of your time (so no)
    Chorus
If you don't have a car and you're walking
Oh yes son I'm talking to you
If you live at home wit' your momma
Oh yes son I'm talking to you
If you have a shorty but you don't show love
Oh yes son I'm talking to you
Wanna get with me with no money
oh no I don't want no scrub
    No scrub
    No scrub
    No No
    No scrub
    No no no no
    No no
    Chorus (until fade)

I'm not sure what I find more interesting. That a PvPer isn't a linguist or that you are smack talking a PvPer during a PvE mission.

    Fail definition is fail

Scrub - Adjective, used to describe someone that is not playing to win.

In the world of Street Fighter competition, there is a word for players who aren't good: "scrub." Everyone begins as a scrub---it takes time to learn the game to get to a point where you know what you're doing. There is the mistaken notion, though, that by merely continuing to play or "learn" the game, that one can become a top player. In reality, the "scrub" has many more mental obstacles to overcome than anything actually going on during the game. The scrub has lost the game even before it starts. He's lost the game before he's chosen his character. He's lost the game even before the decision of which game is to be played has been made. His problem? He does not play to win.

for more information: read the link "Don't hate the player, hate the game".

DOB plays to win, half the players on the forums do not
