Hull burn down without hurting shields.

I was in PVP as a Fed. I had 100% shields and my hull was burned down to 0% in 2 to 4 secs without loosing shield power. What weapon or buff does this? I was told Ramming Speed will do this with maybe polaron weapons. This really doesn't make much sense to me. Anyone have any ideas? I'm not sure that this is something that could be considered realistic in the world of Star Trek. And please don't tell me this is impossible, I know what I saw. Thanks

    Most likely reason: You used beam weapons against a ship that was using feedback pulse.

    100% of Feedback Pulse damage goes straight to your hull.

    I've never had that happen, but then this will only be the case for a few more days until the update.

    It happens all the time...you fly in with a cruiser, unleash your beams, before you know it, you're at 50% hull because the Klink popped a feedback pulse.

    Most Klinks dont spec feedback pulse because most people know not to fit beams. I fit beams and havent had this happen but its not a factor. 10,200 shield is nothing for a 5 pack of Klinks.

    Heavy plasma torpedoes burn your hull down fast if they r totaly pimped, hazard emitters help

    It happens all the time...you fly in with a cruiser, unleash your beams, before you know it, you're at 50% hull because the Klink popped a feedback pulse.

    I understand how FBP works, I just said what happened to the OP has never happened to me when faced by an opponent using FBP. I seriously doubt it will ever be known what makes your full hull go to nothing in a couple seconds, as the people doing it will never tell. If it is FBP it will no longer happen once the next update hits.

    seen it happen with all cannon lay out. its out there, they flying escorts i think, sure the heck wasn't big enough for a cruiser

    Well, if its FBP its pretty obvious. You get hit with a hundred pom-poms of poofy death. Hard to miss.

    And plasma would be hard to miss too, for that matter...

    I've had the same thing happen with cannon on my ship, so it isn't FBP.

    I'm not sure what it is, either. After the next update, we will see if it continues. I suspect it stems from stacked TAC officer buffs since it happens relatively rarely. Due to the lack of content/other things to do, I'm grinding up a Klink TAC officer to play around with the buffs.

    sometimes with large cannon barrages you miss the FBP. in an escort it is pretty easy to one hit yourself if you hit someone using FBP. it does not do 100% damage it does 400% all to the hull... come 1.1 it will do 50% to hull and shields of % return on the talent, I know for sure only FBP3 will give 100% damage return.

    Alas, not always. I was quite surprised to die the other day to FBP, even though I never saw any blue fluff balls. But my log confirmed it. Bug? Blindness? I'm not sure.

    If you are being focus fired by cannon users and you pop RSP, we can actually bleed through and burn down hulls pretty good.

    I saw it two nights ago...it was impressive. The poor guy popped it as soon as we locked on. His hull was bleeding down like he had no shields at all.
