I've noticed lately that almost every exploration mission I get is a ground mission, probably 8/10. Has this been changed, because I dont remember getting so many ground missions in the past?

I'm on the opposite end of the spectrum. The past few times I've done Exploration Clusters - they've mostly been space.
I wonder...does it make any difference at all what star cluster your in? I know it makes a difference between what factions you'll be fighting, but I wouldnt think space/ground would be affected.

Now that I think back to it, while I was in Romulan Space - it was mostly ground missions. Anyone else?
And here I was disappointed that I had three space exploration missions in a row today, and no ground missions. I like to have a good balance of space and ground missions.
I would really like the game to 'learn' what missions I tend to do. Like, if I warp out of all 'defend base' missions, but take all 'kill 5 mobs' on low levels, I would automatically get more of my prefered mission type. There are a few of each type I truly hate, and some I always do because I like them, and some I really like.
I hate how so many species seem to have the exact same bases. You would think they could at least change the colors or slap some logos on the walls depending on whether it was Romulan, Klingon, or whoever else.
I've noticed that I tend to be really streaky. Some days all space, some days all ground... it seems to lean more towards all ground which annoys the TRIBBLE out of me.
I have been getting WAY too many ground missions lately as well...
I'd really like to see them add different types of "anomalies" to the exploration clusters...we'll use B'tran as an example... instead of everything being labeled "B'tran Cluster Anomaly" you could have...
Distress Call (100% space based combat missions involving ship or base protection)
System Investigation (100% ground based combat missions)
Anomalous Reading (50/50 ground and space missions, mostly non-combat)
Contested System (50/50 ground and space, mostly combat)
The names could be different, though I especially like the idea of occasionally running into a distress call... Overall I think having several kinds of "anomalies" in each cluster would allow players to kinda tailor their own type of exploration... Say you are flying an escort and only wanna do combat.... or a science ship and only want to do diplomacy or scan things...

It seems to be based on each particular cluster. Some seem to have more of a certain kind of mission, and a lot less of others.
I'm in Cardassian space atm, getting mostly ground.
So long as they weren't all "scan the computers in the teal, circle pattern room" mission. I got those a few times in a row once. Buzzkill indeed.
I really hate some of those bases, especially the bright one and the one with a forest of cargo you have to sift through.
