Hello, I am sorry if this has already been posted, but would it be possible to differenciate between mission goals and anomalies while using tricorder? It is really annoying especially during ground missions when I need to find the terminal/computer/whatever and I finish looking at an anomaly. In space it is less annoying as the anomaly can be seen from far.
I have thought about two solutions:
1) diffrerent color for objective and anomaly
2) ability to set up the tricorder to show either of these two.
What do you think? Am I the only one who does not like this?
I'm not massively bothered by it - simply pick up the anomaly and bingo - you can get directions to the next object of interest!
Things were much worse in beta when the direction function didn't exist so what we have now is great. Expanded Tricorder functionality would be good in the future though!
Sure, that is how I do it as well. But I do not want to collect anomalies, all it does is to take space in inventory. And I think that such a sophisticated device as a tricorder should be able to do it
On the one hand, it seems like anything to make finding objectives easier would be a plus. On the other hand, I think it's nice that there's something to keep some missions from simply being "Go here, pick this up."--even if it's just "Aha! Fooled you! It's an anomaly!"
Could go either way and I'd probably be happy in the end.
I wouldn't mind them putting in a sensor UI somewhere on the screen so we can choose what sort of objective we'd like to scan for. It could be useful if they ever decided to put in more mini-game like objectives later on. For example, scanning for different types of lifeforms (space or away mission) or some type of planetary survey, where you'd need to scan for primary, secondary or tertiary objectives, especially if they need to be interacted with in different orders.
The anomolies are there to throw you off the track, so-to-speak. The game's not supposed to be uber-easy and play itself. Yes, that sometimes means it takes an extra minute or two because you ran the wrong way after an anomolie but that's just part of the play experience.
Other then tier 1 anomalies, you could always sell them on the Exchange for some quick energy credits... (Have you checked the price on Tetyon particles lately...)

I hadn't realized there were tiers. That might make them worth picking up.
Different colours for them (having two arrows) and to be able to turn off scanning for Anomalies. (there are times you simply don't want to pick them up or do not care about them.)
An extra UI box where you can controll what you are scanning for, how you scan etc etc. Like the energy to engin, shield, weapen etc.

Edit: just remembered the one mission where that's all you do, is find and pick up anomalies. I guess they'd be objectives in that one.
