well it does have a few things going against it. the first being there's absolutely nothing to do there, the second being all our toons are waaaaay overdressed for a day at the beach.

I agree, they need to put things, like repeatable missions or something on Risa, Vulcan, Andoria, and our Solar System when we get them.

When you have a Zone chat which covers every instance in the game what's the point of sitting around on a planet talking?

ive been playing since launch, just today on my main i realized you could visit planets, so i thought it was cool but yeah, duels, vendors, swim suits (and chest hair slider to further customize my toon) maybe little competitions like how WoW has fishing or something

Yeah, we have the choice between uniforms or super-non-beachy off-duty wear.

I'll go to Risa as soon as the devs implement a Horga'hn Mini-game, one Rated M for Mature. ;)

I was there the other day for some R&R. I left within 5 minutes lol

I have to say though, it seems like they've added more NPCs since the last time I was there. Granted its not enough to keep me occupied, but it was cool to see.

I was there just the other day and did get into a nice conversation with someone I hadn't met before. So occasionally it's worth visiting. :)

I tried to hang around there before I stopped playing the game.

It's totally dull. It looks ok (as good as an environment in a cryptic game can) other than that, nothing happens there. It's a waste of time being there.

The 'Lucky 7th" Fleet has run several fleet events there, along with Subspace Radio playing music.

We also go to the bars around the quadrants: Club 47, Quark's, but mostly the pub in the Neutral Zone (Drozano System).

I think a couple of things would improve Risa and other social locations.

    - Bigger maps.

    - Recreational mounts/items. Spock's rocket boots. Grav boots to simulate lunar gravity like the Hobus mission. Horses you can ride. ATVs like the Argo. I can see those being useful in PvP and PvE as well but I think making them only useful in specific missions/PvP maps while making them endlessly usable in recreation hubs would spur activity, result in player races, roleplay, etc. So you have Spock's rocket boots and they can only normally be used in vertical maps but on, say, Risa or Vulcan, you can just use them to your hearts content.

    - Offduty adventure missions. On Risa, I'd imagine these might take an Indiana Jones flavor as strangers send you off in search of treasures and artifacts.

    - Mini-games. I imagine Dabo will be available on Risa as well as at Quark's. I still think Baseball is doable. The devs say their engine would support sports but that the programming would be awfully intensive. However, I could see where something like Baseball wouldn't require the full use of the physics engine if you used the in-game graphics assets but basically just made a baseball game on par with a Flash/NES baseball game. Football, you need the physics engine for. Baseball? I don't think you do as much. It could be chained cinematics or even sprites based on game renders. Baseball doesn't require 360 degree camera movement or collisions aside from determining if someone catches/hits the ball or not.

If Risa or some other planet had fishing, and...... dare I say it.....hunting...That would be some nice R&R diversions.

I had a similar thought about hunting Saber Bear on Qonos.

Things that I love to see on Risa.

    1. Waves in the ocean.
    2. Mini games or sports.
    3. A pub to get drunk at.
    4. Able to swim.
    5. Night time hours
    6. Fulfilled Pleasures
    7. Private room for parties
    8. Dance Club

Any one else wants to add to list?

Watch Deep Space Nine "Let He Who Is Without Sin..." Episode 5x07
That's why Klingons don't goto Risa.

yea we need something on the planet, but it is a great place to hold fleet meeting, no lag because no one goes there. But we need something there like a hotel like on the shows and venders so we need something not art work :P ( what is great)!

My problem is...i cant chill out there...because i cant find a vendor that sells that little game where you will the discs into the vortexes.....

Ever since Westly figured out it was taking over the crew...he and Data i bet ruined the market for it.....

I actualy forget...but wasnt Risa the place where Worf went to for the Batliff Tournament?

    I am probably wrong though.....

would be cool if they had a weekly batliff tournament in this game....

I also thought Risa would be more popular and we have had a few Fleet events there, however I also feel over dressed there.

It is a fun place to explore but would feel more at home in swim trunks. Might be nice to have some more chairs here and there or perhaps an emote that includes the addition of a lounge chair.

Might be nice to have a few huts or other interactive fluff to play with and for RP events etc.

If you build it they will come.

How about a boxing match?!! Well for the fed side anyway!

Anyone know what the Devs had in mind for Risa and Vulcan originally? They must have wanted to do something there?!

Has Cryptic held any events there?!

    @ Saint100
There have not been any events there, come to think of it there have not been any events since the Tribble launch event.

There is at least one mission that brings you there, I suppose so we would find it at all.

I have noticed a number of player-run events on Risa

You trying to say Klingons aren't smooth-skulled enough to box with some squids?
