Nerf nerfers, the whiners complainers ignorant slow overall bad players. Keep them in PVE please. then we wouldn't have the large amount of thread filled with people that simply do NOT need to be PVPing.

in all honesty its getting just a little pathetic what people will call op before they realize that they need to shape up or ship out.

seriously, klink cloak -> carriers -> qeue time (and fvf) -> teamwork -> healing..

its getting old. yes complaining is very fundamental to all games, but its getting excessive

I find it funny that you guys just prop each other up like cripples with only a single crutch.

Your right, the vast majority of the game are unable to think and you are the only ones who matter. Sorry, but that is just not the case.

Some powers still have broken counters. This is a fact. They will be fixed in time. The big 3 were a problem, but they have been changed. Yes SNB is still powerful, but I like the change. I think it is cool that a class now has a debuff. A good idea in general and a much welcomed addition to the game.

Most MMO's don't get a real sense of power balances for 6 months to a year outside of launch. This is the nature of MMO's. For you guys to sit here and complain that people feel that there are imbalances within 3 months of release is pointless. There will be more changes. That is the nature of MMO's.

WoW is still making changes to it's powers and how long has that been out?

You guys say you are all about adapting and using powers at the optimum.

    Then adapt.

who complained about powers and skill in this thread?
Nerf Jaruslothran his forum warrior skills are far to OP, nerf them to hi sin game player skill, then it will be fair

When you sink to this level (grammar included) you have already lost the argument.

what it all comes down to is the nerf callers want it to were all the good players are on equal footing as the scrubs. now we understand that they have the potential to have all the same gear and bo skills and knowledge of counters, but they don't want to take the time to learn them.

so what we need to do is take away all the bo and class skills and all the ships equipement so that all we have in the end is a generic ship with standard weapons and equal stats. in the end, it'll be just a who can kill who faster with a piece of TRIBBLE ship. of course they will still complain about how some of use call targets weather through vent/ts or whatever and can focus fire better than they can.

So, in conclusion, there will always be people that complain about getting their buts kicked because they lack any kind of skill or drive to improve their level of game play when it comes to video games.

I honestly think a lot of the problem is that the first few times you get hit with these powerful skills like TSS and VM it's really hard to tell what you can do about it. I honestly never understood why my shields kept turning off in the middle of a fight until I was told that it TSS's power drain. TSS doesn't have a tooltip telling you that you've been hit by it so your only indication is your shield power, something I don't look at often. I was convinced there was a nasty bug in the game because every once in a while my abilities would all go grey and not work. It wasn't until I brought it up that I found out that that's what getting hit with Tricobalt does. I hadn't bothered with them and when I get hit I usually don't see it coming so I had no idea.

The game would be a hell of a lot less frustrating to new players if Cryptic had put some effort into making it clear where these debuffs were coming from and what you could do about it.

The biggest mistake Cryptic ever made with this game is creating one pvE faction, and one pvP faction.
Forcing the KDF to grind pvp and a few grindmob quests will always give them the advantage over the Federations pvE focused side.

I'm talking averages here, of course there are exceptions to the rule.

I still do not understand why I am able to take down four pvE ships with little damage to myself, yet one lone BoP can take me down, no questions. Hopefully the difficulty slider will help.

Cryptic should equalize the damage output for pve/pvp. That way the Federation pvE'rs will not be suprised that their tactics fail in different settings.

-never full impulse in pvp unless its to flee or regroup quickly
-stay in groups no smaller then three
    -call incoming/focus fire/flanking
-hotkey ships power settings for that one more second of life, sometimes all you need is one more second to win

Klingons have wayyyy more PVP experience from the start than Feds do. They learn to play with great efficiency. Meanwhile, the Feds get their egos padded by the PVE missions thinking that they can just stroll in and run things. This is coming from a fed, not a klingon. I do PVP on occasion, but when I lose my aft section, I don't cry about it. I do my best to learn from it. Hasn't made me any better:D. I'm ok with that.

Not everyone wants to "compete", so there's some apprehension to do so. As long as there is a counter or defense for every ability, all is balanced. Going about nerfing to keep kleenex in contention for becoming a monopoly:eek:, isn't what needs to be. Its like saying a pack of wild dogs vs one man is OP. It is, but your options are run or be eaten. Those aren't even good options. In PVP, most feds don't stay together, thus the wild dog analogy. Feds don't get PVP down because it seems like they think of it as another PVE to just shoot it up and automatically be the hero. No so. Play as a team, win as a team, fail as a team. Lone Wolf left this game defeated......at least in PVP.

This is a long shot, and it will never happen, but I would like to see fleet actions be against real players. Imagine it for a second. Instead of the "birds of squish" , the feds could face birds of prey and really feel like they win something if they are victorious. The reverse goes for the klingons. Turf wars would be fun, but not gonna happen.

Anyway, I'm tired of all the crying that goes on. If you want a problem fixed, be precise an intelligent when relating the problem. Be patient, but vigilant in waiting for resolution.

    ******Disclaimer******
If any player known as or similar to Lone Wolf ever existed, this was not meant to insult or berate you. Use of this name was only a witticism.

Hey sometimes it is beneficial for an engineering captained cruiser to full impulse in to drop an engineering team or science team on an ally :p

Anyway everyone sometimes has the urge to whine about pvp out of frustration. Although personally I have a bigger urge to whine about crystal entity PUGs. (well and bugs like the you are now stuck in the starbase and have to leave the instance to get out of it)

Oh and nerf my control key, somehow I always end up calling up the hud rearrange thing in space combat (and I do not even know why)

yes, sometimes it is useful for an engineering captain to do go in and heal.

this lone wolf did not take any offence what so ever. but tbh im still alive and killing. pvp ofcourse (because we all know pve is a joke... me and my friend flying around in borg space, we see a fleet of cubes. me to him: ' last one to kill a cube is a cardassian' my friend to me: 'what borg cubes?' me to him: 'u already to late cardy, i killed em all)

Its mostly the pve noob feds. They have no clue in general. The more they whine the more I will go out of my way to make their gaming experience less enjoyable for them. That is what they get for not understanding the game. Feel the pain fedanoobs. :) Tor'Mok

yes im gettting right sick of the complainers im hearing that feed back pulse is going to work vs cannons
now thats just not right i have 3 fed RA 5 chars & 1 klingon BG5.
Pretty much all of them are on escorts because i hate the turn rates of the cruisers / sci ships.
& i love my cannons now cannons already took a hit with the power & now due to whiners there gonna take another hit with pulse feed back wtf.
    1. how can pulse feed back work with cannons :( when its bolts not one long beam.
(im my mind this is to please the lazy feds who have never worked through klingon)
& are to stupid to figure out whats needed to stop cannons.

I run a team speak server where we have up to 12 people all playing sto most of us moved from star trek armada.
We have fun chatting but the best laugh i have had was finding 2 friends in the ker`rat into daily i was on my kling bop so was one of my friends & we hammered em rotten.

whats next take away the klingon`s ability to cloak ? cryptic need to grow a pair & say to these whiners NO more.

The problem is the casual PvP feds that once in a while say "oooh, I'll try that" and get smoked.
The average uncoordinated PUG group is no match for a group of klinks with even half a brain between them.

But if you get in with a good group that knows how to fedball, etc you'll win 80% of matches. It's just that the whiners would rather cry than try.

I'm a casual PvE fed, or I was until this weekend. Rolled my first Klink, got up to Ltcmdr and tried my first PvP as a klink. It was awesome!! I had a blast and see why they are so much fun. Sure I died a couple times, but I think I gave as good as I got. Can't wait till after work to play some more.:)

There's a lot more to PvP than the fedball. Using/countering science skills and having a healer are a big part of it too.

That's why I said etc. But I'm not arguing the finer points of PVP, just pointing out that PVP is a completely different animal when you're with a competent group vs the average PUGs.
