Hoi Folks,
my system is behaving (again) utterly stange, AFTER a server maintanace.
I run a Windows 7N, 64 bit with nVidia card and (only) 2 GB ram.
As I don't know anymore how to investigate further, maybe someone of you has a tip here

First of all, I'm quite aware, that a server maintanace seems to be in NO relation towards my system at home,
but if you have this strange behavior after nearly every 2nd server maintanace, you start to wonder

Anyway, the game client crashes, when he tries to unpack files from the hogg with a CRC error.
1) I have over 20 GB free on the disk, it can't be a "free disk space" issue.
2) I can unpack the hogg file with warthog without any problems, doesn't seem to be a file issue -
even if the "crash" is the result of a CRC error in the file to unpack.
3) My disk itself is "clean" of any errors and has only 1% defragmentation.
4) I have cleaned out the game cache and all tmp files on my system (normaly resolves my problem, but not this time)
5) I have deleted the STO folder and have restored the folder from my backup disk - also not solved the problem
as this time.
6) There where NO changes towards my system before or after the server maintanace.
Any tips what to do to get this solved are more then welcome, as the client is crashing randomly with a CRC
error on unpacking files (log in, change instance, load new skins/models, etc.)

Thanks for your help, more then appricated.

apparently nvidias most recent drivers are bad news for gamers because they seem to be mucking up many a gaming experience.
as there where no driver changes on my system or microsoft updates and the system was running fine since the last patch - I'm in doubt about the driver issue
CRC hogg texture no windows application client don't start
the vc redistributable seems to be "broken" - re install of the 32 bit version has solved the issue for me
