ATI 5870 here and I do not have problems.

It is not your card. A video card does not effect you connectivity, ever.

I tend to agree with Ayenn.

I'm running an NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTX if that helps assuage your fears, though!

    Video cards don't affect connectivity.

But I'm running a dedicated NVIDIA GeForce 9300m GS card with 512 mb of its own memory.

I am running the game on a ATI Radeon HD 4350. Even though the card is fairly new I am thinking of replacing it for a better one. Does anyone have any suggestions? I want to spend no more than $250.

I went with an NVidea GeForce GTS 250 and am VERY happy with it. Its sold at Best Buy. Think I paid $150 for it.

Thank you for the info. I keep hearing the differences between ATI and NVidia. But I really wonder which is better.

It is a matter of preference, really. I have 4 gaming computers. two are about 3 years old, one ( a gaming laptop) is a bit over a year old, and a recent build. The first three have Nvidia 7950, 8800GTX, and a 9800m GTS. The new one has an ATI 5870 (I may pick up a second one before the end of the year for that computer). each have their pros and cons. It all depends on what the setup of the computer you are building or upgrading is and how good the heat management is.

Any one of these will work well:

im using a gtx260+, love the card so far, i get server not responding here and there (usually after running half an hour to an hour through a ground mission *sigh*) but i havent had any regular issues with it.

the worst glitch ive had has by far been the one where your weapons suddenly no linger work and you cant use any skills either... then theres the npcs falling through the planet... also the getting stuck on the ground somewhere where you really shouldnt, and using the /stuck and /unstuck just leaves you in the same spot. cant complete the mission :/

either way i dont think your graphics cards has any affect on these issues, just the software and hardware on cryptics end :P
