When fighting, I often use the mouse to stay on target, holding down left+right mouse buttons and keeping the enemy at the screen center.
This works great UNTIL reversing. Then the mouse turning works BACKWARDS! This might be logical if my camera switched from the normal view from behind the ship to the front of the ship, but it does not, and it is difficult keeping track of speed and switching between mouse and key turn controls based on where my throttle is set (when in the heat of battle).
I agree with the OP. The lack of control input inversion when flying backwards is ... annoying. This is the primary reason why I never throw my engines into reverse.

Would someone please take a look at this IMPORTANT PROBLEM WITH MOUSE TURNING?
When in reverse, Mouse Turn is inverted. Please change this or make it user selectable (mouse maneuvering inversion on reverse)
